have qualified teams in show jumping for Santiago 2023. Bedoya is currently sitting in 5th place individually after two rounds. Would be quite something if this turns into the first medal for Bolivia.

  13. So, how is everybody feeling about the songs in this edition? I've ran through all of them once earlier today, and of course waiting for Australia if they select their song. For the first time ever in how many years that we're doing this, I don't have a favourite yet

  16. Tsitsipas and his ATP 500 finals Good to see Djokovic still finishing on a high note and is very likely to end a season in top 10, despite missing AO, USO, Indian Wells, Miami, Canada, Cincinnati and -2000 points for winning Wimbledon.

  18. Yeah, the final was great with many high quality played points. Something WTA truly deserves. And Iga showed once again why she is world number one. Also happy to see Krejcikova raised again, which makes her RG run last year less fluke Excellent serving in the third set.

  19. Firstly she said that she doesn't know what to say then she got a huge ovation from the crowd, people shouting Thank You in Polish (there were many many Polish fans in the stands, Ostrava is very close to Polish border), then she started to cry, said that it's probably the hardest moment of the tournament to say anything now, she said she cried in the last game and she knows it wasn't very professional but she cried with happiness - because all her dreams actually came true, regardless she wins or loses. So she wanted to thank the crowd because they make dreams come true together with her. She mentioned that the atmosphere at this tournament was special and the crowd made her not to give up and fight till the end. Thanks to organizers, congrats to Barbora, thanks to sponsors and her team, and her father who came there which was special and he did well. And she said that tomorrow is World Mental Health Day and she will donate all the prize money from this tournament to a non-profit organization in Poland and she hopes it will change sth. If she had won, the prize money would be bigger but... That's probably it. Anyway, that was a really decent game of tennis, I really liked it. 3 hours long but very interesting all the time.

  22. Huge victory for them, and in front of the home crowd! guaranteed a spot on the men’s side as well, so not all is lost for them. Bronze medal matches in both genders will determine the second quota place.

    Women's Tennis WTA Tour 2022

Krejcikova with the upset of the week, breaks Swiatek's 21 consecutive sets won in finals and wins the title in Ostrava in a 3h16m crazy battle. Iga cried a lot in the end but didn't understand a thing she said cause she talked in polish

  24. Yeah, that was incredibly sad. Elliott could have put him back but he screwed up :-( ..... If Elliott was in the final, it would be mean that the 4th quota place would to the 5th one from the final, who would be Prokop because Delaney placed in front of him in quali was rulled out in the first step. Like this, Prokop is is 6th and also 1st who does not earn the quota. Also unlucky because he lost the quota do Nillson. The same shooter who took the Olympic spot from Nýdrle before the games in Tokyo..... Hopefully Czech will get the second quota later ..... Anyways, congrats to all qualified for the Olympics

  35. Canada up to 14th in the world rankings. We'd need to go up at least 3 more spots (4 if Russia gets unbanned) in order to be in a decent position to qualify to the Olympics.

    South American Games 2022

With Argentina it was 48-1. I watched a bit of it, even caught their only goal. They remind me when I played youth school handball and once we had to play a team from upper category who had all +1.85m guys, we lost like 30-1 and I scored the only goal. Never been prouder of myself in sport

  41. Which means we will be once again at 41 nations… seems like it’s our unspoken limit We did have 42 nations at the Jubilee edition (TISC Annual 2018) but then Turkey didn’t post their votes so we finished with 41 nations again. Though Antarctica unofficially took part as a guest but officially 41 is still the record. It’s still a very impressive number but would just love to finally break the record.

  42. There is a misunderstanding here. The so-called challengers are the minnows, while those who can cause an upset are the real "challengers" as we may understand it.

    Rowing

" Another Olympic rower said that athletes continue to climb the podium “despite” the national organization. She questioned why coach Michelle Darvill wasn’t retained after guiding the women’s eight to Olympic gold. In 2021, Darvill was named both the Canadian coach of the year for all sports, by the Coaching Association of Canada and world rowing coach of the year. “She didn’t have a job the day after we won the Olympics,” she said. “Rowing Canada ended her contract the day after we won the Olympics, she was on a plane with us, no longer an employee of Rowing Canada.” Darvill is now the head coach of the Dutch women’s team, which won seven medals at the recent world championships in the Czech Republic. -Globe and Mail
