  4. Jonathan Horne beat Gogita Arkania in the QF 5-0 and qualified for the Olympics. interestingly after 2-3 years of traveling and competing everywhere, their Olympic quota was decided in a direct match between them. Arkania still can qualify today depends on Aktas.

  6. Japan might be slow in the vaccination campaign, but I don't understand how their situation can be considered that bad if the numbers shown on worldometers are correct. Having a quick look at the last days, they have like 6000 cases and 80 deaths per day and a total 1200 serious cases which is nothing if I compare those numbers with the Italian ones (the only ones I know on a regular basis). We have had days with 40000 cases and 800 deaths per day, with half of the population of Japan

  10. if they were honest with themselves, they would see how the increase of covid cases has started when their Baseball season started... they should stop allowing spectators to go to the baseball games, rather than saying all those bullshit on the Olympics as a super-spreading event, when also the kids and the goats know that the athletes would be closed into a bubble without any sort of interaction with the local people and almost all of them would be vaccinated before travelling to Japan...

  11. She's had a good career but she's over 30 and unlikely to improve. I do feel sorry for her at being the victim of bullying by Semenya fans who thought she said worse things about Caster than she did. What she actually said in 2016 was "“It is out of our control and we're pretty much relying on people at the top sorting it out,” . “The public can see how difficult it is… but all we can do is give it our best.” I can't see much controversial in that

  12. That poll supposedly said 43% cancel, 40% postpone. So, I see two things here, 53% are in favor of the Games being held, but most just don't want them this year. But second, these polls should stop asking do you want the Games postponed, as I think most of us here believe IOC, TOCOG, and JPN Gov when they say further postponement is not an option. That said, I know other polls, when the question is its just a straight cancel or hold show 60% cancel. But this poll suits the media's McGaffrey's need when they can just scream 83% of Japanese don't want to hold the Olympics, without his bothering to break down the numbers.

  20. it's done now. the following guys are qualified for Tokyo Sajjad Ganjzadeh Ivan Kvesic really bad luck for Zabih Poursheib, no more chance Gogita Arkania can still make it in France.

  21. Aktas is in QF now and needs 1 more win but I think it's already done. even if he loses to Slovakia. the Slovakian guy has to face Kvesic in the SF and I believe Kvesic will lose intentionally to keep Aktas in the repechage, that will be enough. (just participating in repechage) even though Aktas most probably doesn't need that and he will win the QF.

  30. I forgot the auto qualifiers in 4x200m! So of course Ireland can't catch and !! Anyway here's the rankings for those not qualified 1 7:07:67 * 2 7:10:44 3 7:12:73 4 7:12:99 5 7:13:06 6 7:13:08 *I assume that the time earned by the team "Magyar Valogatott" can count for If not, then they're they're now behind everybody. Perhaps one of our Hungarian posters would know for sure.

  33. And one more comment: if tusse was representing any country outside Scandinavia it would never ever advance to the finals worst iro Sweden was not related to results, but to their influence, overrating and manipulation behind the scenes

  34. Magnificent performance by Mexico Alejandra Valencia 670, while Ana Vazquez and Valentina Vazquez at 667 in the ranking taking 4th, 5th, 6th position. I guess if they repeat the same performance next month they'll get easy matches and qualify and more importantly Aida Roman shouldn't join this team. @mrv86 Am I right

  35. Honestly Sweden is the worst ESC Nation for years now. in the recent years the ESC was adjusted by Björkman to make a copy of Melodifestival. The juries always push Sweden while in televote Sweden is actually not that good, that tells you a lot. I am 100% convinced this year was the same, top 3 by Jury and outside top 10 by televote. I think if Sweden just sends someone standing around for 3 minutes they would still go to final. All other songs going through the final I kind of understand except Sweden and Norway. And Russia not my taste but at least something different. And I think that countries Croatia (ok I am probably not objective in that case), Romania, Australia and even Ireland deserved it more than Sweden.
