Really strange decision to have very few events between Monday-Wednesday.

That was terrible lol Unfortunately very few people seem to know or care about this event. And given the amateurish broadcast of this, I'm not really interested.

Got 22/23 correct picks, only missing Best Animated Short. This means that I'm a good at this? Not really, just that this was the most predictable ceremony in ages. Good were the days when we actually had surprises in acting categories. This ceremony will probably be remembered for a long time, but for the wrong reasons - I'm looking at you, Will Smith

Dune dominated the pre-show with 4 awards. Only surprise so far was The Windshield Wiper winning Animated Short against Netflix's Robin Robin. And even if I didn't liked his short film, I'm happy Riz Ahmed is now an Oscar winner.

The Oscars are this sunday and once again here I am with my annual predictions post. Last year I did okay with 18/23 correct picks, including Best Picture (the first time I got this one right in a long time). 2021 was a great year for cinema, the best in some years, although the selection for the main award doesn't represent that - honestly, the whole International Film category is better than most films selected for Best Picture. Hope I'm wrong, but I think we'll probably have a very conventional list of winners. ["will win" is my prediction / "could win" is my alternate prediction / "should win" is my personal ranking from what I've watched / "shoud have been nominated" is a way to remember other notable work].

I wouldn't be surprised one bit if some athletes are misclassified, but unfortunately there's nothing to be done right now. Although I follow the Paralympics Games more than the usual sports fans, some things are really disheartening and make me question the fairness of this event.

Very sad, but I would say this is easier to happen at the Winter Games. In Tokyo, Japan improved a lot compared to Rio, but still didn't crack the top 10. At the Winter Paralympics, Russia (2014) and now China completely dominated their home games, although South Korea didn't care enough about this event in 2018. I'm already dreading the fact that Brazil probably will not surpass their best ever result (5th) thanks to the "out of nowhere" athletes from China

It's not really that shocking, but I didn't expect such domination from the home team. Hopefully won't be like in 2014 when Russia won 80 medals!

And that was the last Olympic run for our flag-bearer Edson Bindilatti, his 5th Winter Games and now achieving the best result ever for the brazilian 4-man crew (20th). Probably the only noteworthy result from in Beijing alongside Nicole Silveira in Skeleton (13th).
