    Brazil has 1 guaranteed medal after failing to win any at the last Worlds AND Olympics. I suspect we will win 2 (probably a bronze in both).

    As @phelpssaid, that little black stripe means a team has won a set. Probably they think this look cool. Funny enough, VNL went the opposite direction and added more things to the main graphics.

    If our women's teams didn't have the best luck, our 4 men's teams are through to QF. Very tough matches now, but at least we have one guaranteed team in SF.

    Because we can actually see people at the stands, this match was much more fun than any central court match with brazilian players

    BTW, don't know if anyone is watching this, but sadly attendance seems extremely low, to the point that in some matches looks like there's no one in the stands. Very different atmosphere from the last world championships (one could blame the pandemic, but even recent World Tour stages had more people). Anyway, I hope we see a better attendance now in the knockout phase.

    All 4 brazilian women's pairs at the same quadrant of the draw, meaning only one can reach semifinals - except that they have to defeat Pavan/Melissa Chances for a medal before the start of this championship were low, and now they pratically null.

    Amanhã terá início o campeonato mundial de Vôlei de Praia. Alguma expectativa de medalha para o Brasil? Lembram de 2013 quando ganhamos 5 das 6 medalhas possíveis? Já no último (2019) não ganhamos nenhuma (e nem nos Jogos de Tóquio).

    Brazil with only 4 bronze medals so far Did they offer us money to be the host of something we clearly don't care about? That's embarrassing.

    Just now watching the performances. I don't know who made this decision, but the audience is so far away from the stage that I miss the "human" element. Most of the time the camera work doesn't help either, in some performances we only see the audience by the end.

    For what this is, I think the event is very well organized. No need to spend millions and millions at any youth Games. Sadly, because of the schedule nobody is commenting about this anymore, hopefully this changes tomorrow.
