  1. I don't see many racist posts here (although sometimes they do happen), but I'm positive @thiago_simoes know how to differentiate such things, especially since was him that also pointed out the problem with sexist and LGBT-phobic posts - which are just as bad. The fact that some people only took the "racist" part of his comment it's telling.
  2. In terms of attendance it was amazing, and of course much better than the last big Athletics competition (Rio). But I can't help but wonder if people would be so forgiving if the problems with the organization (mostly about the schedule, I think?) and the norovirus thing happened last year.
  3. A little late, but I didn't realize Baseball had so many cases.
  4. I like the idea, but potentially could mean even more work for the contest manager
  5. Indeed. Comments like this have become quite common on Totallympics. In the past month we had a huge amount of misogynist and transphobic comments here. It's still better than some other sports forums/groups around the web, but I fully agree we shouldn't ignore things like these.
  6. Medal The "4th-place finish curse" has been broken.
  7. But Brazil loves a 4th place in race walking
  8. It's not looking for good for Brazil also, but we're pretty used with bad performances in Athletics World Championships. In the last 4 editions, only 2 medals, both by Murer. She's now a commentator for TV, and (surprisingly) good at this.
  9. Including the italian? Or you're saying that all the other top athletes should be disqualified and the italian should've won gold?
  10. As it was said before, every athlete does some "lifts" now and then, some more visible than others. Only changing the rules for this not to happen.
  11. I understand the frustration, but when you complain about all the other top athletes in this race and not your own, it kinda enters "conspiracy theory" territory.
  12. Brazil has qualified to the Men's World Championship after a win against Venezuela in the final of the South American Championship (25/21, 25/6, 25/18). Venezuela, Argentina, Chile and Colombia will fight for the other CSV spot at the qualification tournament.
  13. I need this! Anyone with $319 to give? https://www.criterion.com/current/posts/4812-announcing-100-years-of-olympic-films
  14. Beach Volleyball, Football, Gymnastics - Artistic, Tennis, Volleyball.
  15. Talvez um bom momento para ressuscitar esse tópico uma vez que isso aconteceu hoje?
  16. Amazing result for Rosangela At least one good result in this dreadful championship for Brazil.
  17. So our worst ranked pair in the men's side wins gold, who would have thought. Good start, but I bet we're gonna see a lot of changes among our teams after this championship.
  18. In all honesty, I fully expected that Brazil and Italy would be the two teams out in the preliminary round.
  19. Indeed. China will probably kick our asses in the final, though.
  20. I agree, not a great championship for us, but I thought we wouldn't even get a medal. That bronze medal match was so close!
