  1. Looking back, I definitely ever reacted because I was debating a bunch of people off the forum. I do think Slovakia should be monitored to make sure they cross any human rights lines, but from the way you put it, I think it will work out Is Slovakia home to the largest Roma minority? Most of what I know about the Roma come from their persecution during the Holocaust (that’s why I get worried really).
  2. If I had to guess, somewhere between +3/5, but that’s also while putting on my freshmen 20, so...
  3. Welcome to forum @Nick Frith! Hopefully those PC2018 replays start working for you soon
  4. I’ve just studied too many wars, to see how this ends well. I trust you though. If you think the right choice has been made, then it probably has.
  5. Yeah the CDC has tried their best. I’m very thankful for them. Of course Trump shrunk their budget by quite a bit over the last two years... I don’t think Trump can be credited for the likes of the good health experts we see around him, but I do agree that our health experts are doing their best possible work.
  6. Same to you. I think the Democratic governors are to thank for saving the US from Covid. I don’t know how Trump’s response surprised you? There’s no response really, so I guess that is surprising in a way. I’m friends with quite a few libertarians by the way. They can be a little crazy for me at times, but then who isn’t right?
  7. Slovakia should be taken to the international court of human rights immediately. I respect the right of people to protect themselves, but targeting the minorities is not the answer! For now, it’s just a health check, but later on...This sets an extremely dangerous precedent.
  8. He has to chose a black woman to be his VP. He needs to chose someone like Abrams, who the party can rally around. Rumor has it that Warren is his first choice. As much as that makes me happy, I don’t think it will help him consolidate the black vote. The Democratic is grown too large. Our viewpoints are too diverse to beat the United front of hate and lies we see from the GOP.
  9. Trump’s actions drove the stock market down. California’s great response to Covid (with our thankfully left leaders) is driving hope up, as well as, the economy. I do want to live in a socialist country. No, not a communist country, nor a country ruled by a single person/party. I want to live in a country that’s truly for the people, that embraces diversity, and maintains peaceful existence. I realize that faux socialism has been a plague on the world for the last century, but democratic socialism is the correct way to fix that problem. I also don’t hate conservatism. I think it is required in many situations, however I think modern conservatism has lost it’s way. I chose to vote for hope and change, instead of fear and hate.
  10. The Presidential Candidate of the US Green Party tweeted this out today. I’ll probably vote Green to try and help get them federal benefits to strengthen their position, and hopefully make them a viable third party choice one day.
  11. I’m getting the feeling that Trump will win in Novemeber... Hopefully he doesn’t, but I’m exactly getting the right feel from Biden’s campaign yet...
  12. Those smaller nations also get to send many more athletes here than the Olympics. It’s a development event for many of these nations. It also gives the home nations athletes a chance to truly represent their countries. Plus, something like 25 of the CGAs that compete, are ineligible to participate at the Olympics.
  13. I think more people watch the Commonwealth Games then you realize...
  14. Because Covid + Conservatism is really doing us some good right now
  15. I’m mourning Californians are not happy with the rest of the country right now. Our community pages are the most toxic I’ve seen them in a while
  16. Yeah...I have a sneaking suspicion they’re not worried about that...
  17. I wouldn’t say that’s true. While it may be easier to consolidate resources in a smaller nation, it may also be harder to put bid larger ones. Larger ones also have a larger population base to keep the economy afloat during rough times.
  18. Please, that’s MSNBC. Even we don’t watch CNN
  19. There isn’t many bright sides to sport being cancelled for presumably a year, but 2022 is going to be f***ing epic!
  20. Hm, the media weren’t notified of this... The press service for this event is very poor
  21. Equality is only a myth if we let it be.
  22. The fact that we can apparently afford to provide more help than the US government is sad though.
  23. I don’t know how much of a hand the US has had in Costa Rica affairs to be honest. They were never communist, so we never had a reason to bother them. They had a bloody Civil War in 1948, but them demilitarized completely after learning how hard the loss of life for power can be. Now they rank as best nation in Latin American on many global indicators. I’m not saying that we didn’t whore ourselves through Central America, I just don’t think we messed with Costa Rica that much. We do really need to learn to let other countries make their own decisions. The only time we should step in is when people like Saddam or Bashar are in power somewhere.
