First positive test in my community. My town, and our neighbor town, have a combined population of around 300,000 (so just smaller than Iceland). However, there is two suspected cases from a local high school (my sister’s in fact) that could foretell real harm for the community. High schools around here have about 2,000-3,000 students each, so that creates quite the testing pool (if either of those students test positive).

I saw something about lung capacity being reduced by 20%, but I don’t remember the source or where I saw it. I’d recommend doing your research.

The weird thing is that the virus will be worse in “blue states”, since will have the majority of the big population centers. Even if we’re much better prepared, this will be an “easier” issue for the “red states” (maybe except for Florida and Texas). We’ve actually seen an interesting turn in pro-Californian succession thanks to Trump’s response to the virus. I love my state government, but even I know we need the national government’s support on stuff like this.

I have lists, and lists of multi-sports games replays for anyone who needs them in these trying times

I mean 1500 people just rioted into our local Costco, and now police are being called in to shut the store down, but besides that, life is rather normal (minus leaving the house).

That marble racing channel I watch blew up on American Twitter last night. The stuff is low key exciting. At least it serves as a good stand-in for sports at this time.

California Update courtesy of our Governor: 335 Cases total (14% increase since yesterday), only 8,000 tests have been carried out, many more to come All people above the age of 65 must be left in home isolation No one may visit nursing homes, unless its for end-of-life visitation All bars, pubs, wineries will be closed Restaurants will remain open, but the state government asks that they practice social distancing The state is procuring hotels/motels for around 108,000 homeless people to use as shelters 80% of school districts are closed, those that remain open will be subject to special guidelines. The governor also admits that he’s worried for students with poor home situations, and that districts haven’t prepared for something like this. When asked, like Trump was yesterday, if he takes responsibility for this state’s handling of the crisis, he said “I’m the Governor of the State of California. I take my responsibility seriously. As a leader in my respective role in the community, not just as Governor. We all have to hold ourselves to some individual account.”

My school is still not technically cancelled, but it probably will be. I’ll be doing a mixture of online classes, building results books, and trying publish some content for you guys. Speaking of which, it there’s anything you guys would like for us to try (written, audio, or visual) let me know. I’ll try my best to keep y’all entertained. I might go back and watch some multi-sports games replays like always. Besides that, who knows. I’d love to talk with people, but I just don’t have many friends really, so quarantine is like life as usual, but even sadder

Yeah, I’ve been thinking about how crazy that was lately. That was my first though when Coronavirus came about.

No they would be a games that features: Athletics (only M/W Discus), Rhythmic Gymnastics (only Hoop), Flying Disc ( M/W Team Ultimate, Mixed Pair Freestyle), Wheel Gymnastics, that game from Octobeerfest where people sit on a spinning wheel, while others try to knock them off, and of course Disc Wars from Tron.

It’s done for competition though. I actually like the Jeux De La Francophonie features art and sports. I wouldn’t mind that concept for something like this. Many of the countries you mentioned do have clubs that could participate.

When I have more time later this week, I’ll make my presentation for how my city will host either the Pan American or World Games . Y’all can learn all about where I live

Yeah they’re pretty funny. Plus, they’ve made themselves easy fan favorites since they’re more down to Earth than other drives, and more willing to race with (and even lose to on occasion) the general public. They’re easily two of my favorite drivers currently.
