  1. I read here that Furlani has basically no chance, what's going on?
  2. I certainly hope so, this could be history for But yeah, it's a championship 1500m, basically everyone has an actual chance here.
  3. That does suck, but to be entirely fair, that goes for many athletes and countries. Especially in sports where one can have 1-2 massive throws or jumps during the year, then it is still not entirely likely to do so at the big show... Well, hopefully it gets better. Most of the athletes so far are also performing worse than they have done so far (with 1-2 exceptions), maybe if that turns around today, can also turn it around
  4. What was all this Imagine the level of this event if all of these Kenyans, Ugandans and so on actually learn some basic hurdling technique.
  5. Yeah, Bolivia is really a true one-sport nation. They have one gold medal more than Paraguay at the Pan-Ams, actually, but....
  6. Steeple final has split into two groups: first group is technically absolutely awful at hurdling, but very fast, second group is technically very good, but slower
  7. I've once made a list of 'worst Olympic countries ever' (of course you can't say that as a fact, so it is based on opinion together with numbers) and Bangladesh ended up on top (or bottom, however you look at it) Followed by Bolivia, btw. If you look at population-to-sport success ratio alone, China is also awful, they should win a majority of all Olympic medals with their population, but that's of course not the only thing that matters India at least does have some success in some sports, here and there. To compare them with Bangladesh is a bit unfair: look at the Asian Games alone, 183 golds vs....well, 1.
  8. I'm curious what you had expected at this stage in the championships, other than a medal that's already been won?
  9. Nothing against Moon, but this feels somewhat unfair. Morris hit that bar way less than Moon
  10. If Morris had one bra size smaller, she'd have gotten that 5.90m.
  11. Clutch throw from Nadeem, wow.
  12. Warholm likes the thrill.
  13. Zapletalova making the final as expected
  14. Alpine skiing, snowboarding, running 400m, what can't Ledecka do?
  15. That seems likely. Although to be fair, even inside the country that existed, with all normal people simply calling them the equivalent of mouth masks, and the nutjobs and other crazies going with things like "chin diapers" to try and be edgy or something
  16. Damn, Adekoya is more red than her shirt That did not look very good.
  17. Here it's simply 100/110/400 meters hurdles
  18. Looks like Tentoglou is done for today..
  19. Interesting I mean, absolutely right, they are barely an obstacle, but still interesting to actually call it that way
  20. One of the things I didn't know as a difference between Dutch and Dutch: apparently they call this 'the low hurdles'
  21. @hckošice Wake up!
  22. As is so often the case, unfortunately Certainly one of the relatively weaker events of the past years.
  23. Levell so far making true on his role of one of the big favourites for gold, wow. Gout clearly also a good 400m runner
  24. Very early to say, many massive talents ended up not really improving more at some point, but if you're 17 years old and runs what he has already done (more than once), the hype is for sure at least based on something.
