  1. Kopecky wins the Strade Bianchi. Disastrous racing from Elisa Longo Borghini....it's amazing how someone can be in the world of pro cycling for this long and still just not understand the very basics of the tactical game....she just simply gave the win to Kopecky
  2. Right, I think my list is finalized after switching the top-3 around like a hundred times (and those behind it quite a few times as well). Now let's see which songs are of which nations Excellent overall quality, often I struggle a bit to find 12 songs I do want to give points, but now there's roughly 20 songs I've had in my top-12 at one point or another...
  3. For the running events this is fine enough though, don't need to log in: https://worldathletics.org/competitions/world-athletics-indoor-championships/glasgow24/timetable For the field events, you'll need the login indeed.
  4. Well yeah, definitely, although I think they should have DQ'ed both (which would suck because like I said, I hate that rule, but still..)
  5. "Fair play to the officials, they have certainly shown discretion", talking about the false starts not resulting in DQ's. I mean, personally I find it great, because I absolutely hate the rule where one false start is an immediate DQ, but...isn't a false start supposed to be a DQ? It either is or isn't a false start
  6. Two extra shots and still Murray and Kwaou-Mathey kept on running for two more hurdles
  7. Is that Dafne Schippers I'm hearing as co-commentator on the Eurovision stream?
  8. I believe it was a social media thing quite a few years ago where he absolutely went off ranting and cursing and yelling at everyone because some people didn't agree with some basic thing (it was nothing controversial, but he absolutely lost his shit ). Of course he deleted the whole thing the next day, tough guy as he is
  9. Right, if Richard "athletics fans are just cockroaches" Kilty is in episode 1, I think I'll start listening it at episode 2
  10. Can't wait for him to win every single race again, just like last year. Oh wait, last year he said he was going to win every single race (after showing some very good results indeed), and then went on to not win anymore
  11. And that's exit Lieke Klaver, who would quite easily have qualified and didn't need to take any risk at all. Edit: for some reason she escapes
  12. Yeah, on the Dutch forums this was called 'doing a Femke Bol'
  13. Yeah, talk about a wrong step... While watching it for a moment I had a tiny bit of hope maybe this'd be the end of her spring and so on, but she'd be back for the Olympics, but yeah...judging by her reaction she already knew that was over as well.
  14. Dutch NOS also shows the evening sessions, but because of them having the rights, also the morning sessions are geoblocked (which they don't show ). There is the Eurovision platform which I'm using now for this morning's session, but that video player sucks balls.
  15. Anyone have a suggestion what's the best way to watch this morning's session? On World Athletics it's not available from whatever country you are apparently, everything is geoblocked, and I can't find anything else. Typical
  16. Shanne Braspennincx, reigning Olympic keirin champion, has retired due to a lack of motivation. https://nos.nl/artikel/2510803-olympisch-kampioene-braspennincx-stopt-met-baanwielrennen-plezier-is-weg
  17. I agree, better breaking than kata on the program....and that says a lot
  18. I think the main point of the discussion here could be interesting, as long as it's more a matter of 'Who are the biggest gold medal favourites?' instead of the whole thing about calling it a lock or not
  19. But predicting upsets is also....on the edge. Once people mention someone as a possible surprise, that person is barely still a possible surprise The real surprises and upsets are those winners who nobody mentioned as possible winners, outsiders or anything.
  20. The moment you're even mentioning someone as 'wouldnt count them out', the first one is already not a 'lock' anymore
  21. Unsurprisingly I'm a couple of years behind, but I assume this means I'll have to let go of my hope to see Mijain Lopez compete again?
  22. Not really at home in the world of sailing, but surely the few countries mentioned here aren't the entire list of world championships participants?
  23. No idea how table tennis has been doing in the past few years, but the previous Olympics are three years ago....recent results say a lot more
