  1. RIP Skotheim
  2. Well this was a fantastic mess Benjamin could have gone sub-46 if he didn't destroy that last hurdle. And bronze for Samba after all his injury troubles, beautiful
  3. Warholm in 4, Dos Santos in 9, I am so confused
  4. Man, the times when Taylor and Pichardo were at their very best were amazing
  5. Damn, Hall.
  6. Galvydyte Last time a Lithuanian ran faster, it was with a Soviet flag, and still only 8th. This semi was crazy.
  7. Massive PB and continental record for Hull Cool, always cheering for athletes who basically have the same name as the neighbourhood I live in
  8. O'Connor is really putting her name in there as a serious medal contender now.
  9. Ms. Duplantis doesn't give two fucks about athletics
  10. And that's it for Laros.
  11. Had to Google that, I thought it was a bit of a joke and she was actually his daughter, nope
  12. Almgren out.
  13. I forgot a crucial detail: I specifically meant Krop, not Kenya as a whole, as being here for lots of weird reasons
  14. is here purely because of false promises, political games, criteria changing left and right and lies by officials to athletes, and now is dropping off after barely two laps. It really is no wonder especially Kenyans go to other countries.
  15. He was supposed to?
  16. Thiam clearly not at her best in the middle of a public war with the Belgian federation.
  17. Now all they need to do is add a forecast. Just showing standings with current points is only like 50% at best this early in a heptathlon.
  18. Edit: never mind
  19. Former steeplechase runner Jairus Birech has passed away. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jairus_Birech Among the very best of the world roughly 8-12 years ago, often fighting with the likes of Kemboi, Kipruto and Kipruto.
  20. Hall with the best start of all the favourites, Kate O'Connor also certainly throwing her hat in the ring.
  21. Indeed no Kälin
  22. Oh that is nice, it has a season average tab! That is way better than the forecasts that only use everyone's heptathlon PB or (worse) the event PB's. Those are of course better than nothing, but using a more realistic average is perfect, thanks
  23. Yes, the Soviets did a better job at destroying the documents than the Stasi did. Didn't manage to kill everyone in time to avoid them speaking openly about it though (athletes, doctors and such). "More doubtful than East Germany"....if we're being exact, then yeah, since they destroyed the physical evidence better, but that bar is basically half a centimeter above the floor.
  24. I don't think Eastern European sports (or sports in general) has ever been a thing in any of my school books
  25. Heptathlon starts tomorrow, and that is basically useless to follow without a forecast, so, what is the best place for a good forecast nowadays?
