Test

  1. 39 tests is quite a lot, 10 seems like a number that should be considered normal (in most cases sadly it's not, but once a month should definitely be the minimum ).
  2. Who knows I'm guessing it'll be between Sagan and Bling today, but apparently the last few hundreds of meters are slightly downhill so Sagan should have the advantage there
  3. Today is Sagan Day, depending on that final km of which I can't really find a profile.
  4. Good bit of athletics in Hengelo yesterday. 2.04m for Lasitskene (best jump worldwide since 2013), 8.62m for Manyonga (second person ever, after Ivan Pedroso in 1995, to legally clear 8.60m four times in one year)
  5. And there wasn't even a livestream until you posted a link!
  6. An old tradition restored, they did this back in the early 90's apparently Plus, there's no engines there so McLaren managed to win without having Honda crap in the back
  7. I'd say it could be like this: If someone feels an event (be it a competition, a race or a news event) is big enough to deserve it's own thread, he/she should feel free to open a thread about it. If it turns out there's not really a lot of interest, someone (like me) could merge it with a general thread, whereas if it generates a little buzz and the person who opened it isn't posting just on his own there, it could be left open.
  8. Stay here a little while and you'll notice you've suddenly added at least 5 more sports to your list
  9. Chinese dude Aori Gele getting kicked in the nuts so hard he's brought to hospital, I could almost feel it when watching the video Luckily he seems to be alright.
  10. That's what I thought Sindo meant, at least it's what I meant
  11. I'm fairly sure I could do that
  12. Exactly. Same thing with certain big news events or hot topics. At the top of my head I can think of two examples now: - The Johaug case in cross-country, there's been news about it for quite a while now and it would be way easier to follow that if it has it's own thread (plus if the news about it is 'collected' there, one could even link to it on social media) - The NHL/Olympics thing, it was never an out-of-the-blue 'BOOM, no NHL players in Pyeongchang' kind of thing, it went on for a long time with regular updates and opinions which I mostly missed because I don't really read the ice hockey general thread. The strong points of Totallympics, in my opinion, are not that there are results available (if I want cycling results I'll go to PCS, if I want cross-country/alpine skiing/nordic combined/ski jumping results I'll go to the FIS website etc), but that we've got a combined access to an incredible diversity of news and sources, from Dutch to Serbian, Italian to Indonesian etc. I'd be curious to find out how we can use that to our advantage in some way, because I think that's one of the things that makes Totallympics unique (plus the fact there's a place for literally every Olympic sport and a ton of non-Olympic ones).
  13. You mean that move when one of the Ferrari's cut to the inside which caused all kinds of problems?
  14. For what? Apparently one idiot on German TV (I was told so, didn't see it myself) said it was karma for hitting Vettel, when in fact Vettel made a mistake by braking too late
  15. Bad luck for Verstappen again and this time after an absolutely sensational start, come on, that's enough for this year
  16. Haase is the moral winner of Roland Garros 2017
  17. If Wawrinka doesn't find some magic, Nadal might just win this.
  18. But come on, this is just not fair anymore
  19. I still have hope that Haase's record of winning 8 games remains
  20. Couldn't agree more
  21. It is great, welcome Meanwhile we've got 5 leaders: Dougall, Van der Lijke, Duchesne, Dunne and Hansen.
  22. The most recent I could find is from April: Vrije slag = freestyle Rugslag = backstroke Vlinderslag = butterfly Schoolslag = breaststroke Estafette = relay There's also this about the Dutch teams for the two Mare Nostrum meets and the Sette Colli, where it says the Dutch WCh team will go there, but I don't think all those names are in the WCh team https://www.knzb.nl/actueel/nieuws/bericht/1000038993/wk_ploeg_in_actie_op_internationale_toernooien_in_barcelona__canet_en_rome/
  23. Oh come on, they're just afraid.
  24. That would give her serious medal chances at world youth championships with girls 3 years older
