From Spanish fandom for example :p

I don't think the hate is from Spanish fandom since Ukraine winning was expected because of the situation. Here the main discussion topics have been:

    • Spanish jury not giving points to Portugal.
    • Italy being the only country not giving a single point to Spain and why RAI called Chanel "discount di Jennifer Lopez".
    • Lausa Pausini being the best presenter ever.
    • The awful result of France after sending a song similar to Tanxugueiras.
  2. We lost 44-45 against :AZE even though we were 2 up entering the last relay. Because of this we lost the ranking position with them just before the European Championship, which means that we can face  :UKR in T16. That's a disaster..

Well I understand.. It's a personal choice. I chose Mizo language just because it's a little different than Hindi songs, and when I had one of my favorite Hindi songs last open it didn't do well so went with mizo which boasts of a 6th place finish at Open 20' .

Now that it didn't do well I might run out of options. Coz Annual 21' entry (English)  was also pretty good and didn't get the points it deserved .

So next open have to think twice should I enter into contest in the first place (considering the best Indian songs especially Hindi don't really go well outside the Indian Diaspora) . Then if I do enter Hindi may not be a option. Maybe some very new language not used in TISC yet.

Mamawh Chhanna Lal Isua was a great song and it was original compared to the other songs of the edition.

Personally, I found your entry of this edition pretty standard and while I was listening for the first time it didn't stand out.

    NEXT JURY: Ireland

:GBR Great Britain is chasing :ESP Spain and overtakes :COL.

Meanwhile :POL Poland and :GER Germany already collect

their second medals in this session.

And now we will call the country where it all started, Ireland.

Please share your votes at 18:06 CEST @OlympicIRL

I think that 22 juries are more than enough.

Can we stop the count, please? :p

  5. After the 1st half Spain has 75 points. Our national record goes back to Open 2017, when Enrique Iglesias got 151 points. Will Tanxugueiras improve that? I don't think so considering the remaining countries.

I will also use this break to give you some stats about my votings. This is the 6th edition in which I am participating, so I only have information about the last 6.

    • Colombia, Brazil, Great Britain, Tunisia and Poland received points from me for the first time.
    • Italy has always received points. It is closely followed by Portugal (5), that did not receive any points this year (I'm not a huge fan of national team songs). Argentina, Canada, China, Hungary, India, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands and USA got points 3 times each.
    • Malta had never received a medal from Spain. It is the 13th country to be in the top3. Only France, Portugal and Italy have more than one medal in these 6 editions.
    • Ireland only got points 2 times but finished as first reserve 3 more times, including this year.

I never listen a song in "Gallego" and i really love it, are you from Galicia?

I'm half Catalan and half Andalusian, but I have some family in Galicia so I got used to the language. This year all the hits in Spain were reggaeton and I wanted to send something different, so I followed the idea of @kungshamra71of sending songs in other languages and tbh I was not expecting to get more than 50 points.

I had doubts about sending Terra (the song that is participating) or Figa, in case you want to listen to this. It was their 1st hit outside of Galicia.
