stefanbg reacted to Agger in [OFF TOPIC] Eurovision Song Contest 2021
Third rate? This is the World's largest Live Music Event.
Don't get anything wrong: More than anything, it's a massive entertainment show!
But songs not lasting "even the most minor test of time"? Is that test of time you remembering it? Sure only a few are hits at the level of Waterloo, but I can assure you that there are still plenty of songs that are remembered by millions!
And huge resentment? Really?

Final Standing available here
ady48 africaboy Wanderer
After another astonishing performance by Rafal Nadal on Court Philippe-Chatrier last night, two weeks of clay action from Paris has come to its conclusion.
The predictor who is coming out on top of the podium after these 15 days tennis is @ady48. After being really close secure medals in the last prediction contests, he can now finally celebrate winning a medal. And one of gold, even. He has been in the top of the leaderboard through most of this contest with great predictions and good scores each day. It's his first win and second medal this year. Huge congratulation with the victory and the gold medal @ady48!
In 2nd place, just behind his fellow countryman, is @africaboy. He was only 3 points shy of 1st place. He even topped the standings on some days. However, here on the final day, he must see himself receive only a silver medal. A very deserved silver medal that is as he has been in the top with his fellow Romanian predictor throughtout most of the contest. It is his second silver medal and third medal overall this season. Very impressive! Another great contest from @africaboy. Well done and congrats with the 2nd place and silver medal!
It has really been a dominant performance by the Romanians predictors this contest. But the last spot on the podium will not go to a Romanian. Totallympics' Kiwi and tennis follower, @Wanderer, ended with the last spot on the podium. After a close battle with another big tennis follower, @rybak, he was the one who secured the bronze medal. First medal for him and New Zealand this year. You will receive a big applause for your predictions in this contest. Congrats with the bronze medal, @Wanderer! l
As mentioned before our Polish tennis enthusiast, @rybak, was in a long and close 5-set match against @Wanderer. Unfortunately for him that had to be a loser of this great match, and it was him unfortunately. But despite of that, a very good contest for him and a very great 4th place overall. I hope he can find some consolation in Swiatek's very impressive win and tournament.
After not competing in a Totallympics Prediction contest for some time, @stefanbg made a grand comeback with a superb 5th place overall. Well done!
Last honourable mention will once again go to, @Vic Liu. Another great tennis prediction contest from your side. Last time a 5th place and now a 6th place in this one. Impressive!
Lastly, big thank you to all the users who took part in this prediction contest. Giro d'Italia is well on the road and another Grand Tour will soon start with the Vuelta a España next week. The thread for this contest is planned to open this week. After those last cycling prediction contests have been completed, I have planned two more contests this year: Women's Baseball World Cup in November and Women's European Handball Championship in December.
That's all from me, your prediction contest manager, Wumo.

Couple of points.
1 Nobody is saying that Semenya is not a woman. What they're saying is that she benefits from having some aspects of male biology. We don't exactly how much this amounts to but the best bet is that she has internal testicles that are producing an amount of testosterone close to the normal male levels.
2 To call this a racist decision is nonsense. The IAAF regulations were drafted under the leadership of Papa Diack of the Ivory Coast and are a lot less tough than they were in the past. I can give you the names of British, American, Italian, Dutch, Indian, Romanian, Austrian, Russia, Spanish athletes whose careers were ended before they achieved anything near what Semenya has won. Anyway, if Semenya gets banned, it's highly likely another African emerges to take over from her.

Or @mrv86 could post an empty scoreboard if he can, and we can update it with the actual scores so he only has to post an empty one at the beginning and the final one at the end.

stefanbg reacted to RiSeGwangFan in Totallympics Introduction Thread
Hi! Thanks!! I started to love the North Korean sport from Beijing 2008, mainly by Hong Un Jong winning gold in artistic gymnastics, defeating the favorite and local, the talented Cheng Fei. I researched more and learned from his past achievements in that sport, from the achievements of Kim Gwang Suk and Pae Gil Su.
Since then I am supporting them in the championships, Ri Se Gwang whom I admire for the great difficulty of his vaults, this year he became three times world champion in his favorite apparatus. In Diving since I saw Kim Kuk Hyang I am rooting for her, I knew that I would defeat my compatriots, and that's how it was. I also support athletes from other countries, I missed many of my own country, I just wanted to make the most of those athletes who are often marginalized, maybe because they are not the best or because they are from where they are. I would like them to someday know that not only in their own nation are there people who support them.

Yes. The previous best WC result for Bulgaria was a 7th place by Vladimir Breitschev in 1990 in Planica.

Congratulations @Agger for the win!!
Good job done @dezbee2008 @Olympian1010 and for the second place,
Congrats. also at @OlympicIRL for bronze medal (and for manage another great contest)
As always Italian jury voted for all Top-3 songs and all three have totalized same points (voted by 3 of 4 members, and ranked with the tie-break rules 2nd, 3rd and 4th)
Personally speaking, I'm sad that song don't have pts from Italy, (voted only by two members, and out for 1pts) @stefanbg
