  1. Well done @mrv86 for being the first contestant and hope you enjoy your winnings And congrats to @Quasit also for a successful debut on your new project.
  2. That was tough! I hadn't a clue tbh.
  3. Next question, what is the 1345th decimal of pi
  4. Yes but you posted it in the second question so I played that one and just opened a new tab to follow the thread while the music is playing
  5. I have 2 tabs open.... one with the game music playing and the other with the questions, makes it seem real
  6. @heywoodu @Sindo @Werloc you are all famous
  7. Happy New Year everyone
  8. I’ll give it a go as well
  9. Ireland moves back to level 5 restrictions (the highest level) and these will remain in place until the end of January. Schools will stay closed until January 11th at least. The expected rise in cases over the festive period is even beyond the projected "worst-case scenario" by health experts and the new strain is thought to be responsible for this unprecedented rise. The reproduction rate is now around 1.8 and if it doesn't come down very soon, our hospitals will be beyond capacity. Hurry up vaccine
  10. Same here, been slow since Sunday night.
  11. If only we could have this awesomely suspenseful musical accompaniment to go with it for the high tier questions
  12. Happy Christmas everyone! Wish you all a great time with family and loved ones
  13. I hope the song is better than this year's entry but let's see what she can do....
  14. Happy Hanukkah. Enjoy the celebrations
  15. Great episode guys, really enjoyed it and helped get me up to speed as I missed a lot of the detail around the programme changes. Keep it up
  16. Well at least Ireland will get the Qatar experience after all as we won’t be qualifying for the World Cup
  17. Yes it’s back in the usual position, I am a sucker for tradition . There’s actually some decorations on the tree that have been with the family since the 60s, some from the 70s, 80s, 90s and a couple of modern ones. Plus a decoration my niece made at school about 12+ years ago The tree itself is going strong for its 19th year now. It’s our first artificial tree as before that we always used real trees from the fields at home.
  18. Having spent the weekend decorating the tree and the house, I am ready to smash some lights
  19. That's terrible news indeed and I'm sad to read this. That was a lovely song, I remember it well. RIP Sara
  20. TISC Annual 2021 - Possible Extension to Period of Song Eligibility The votes are in..... the vote was very close (unlike the recent TISC Open) and we have an outcome. All votes have been counted, even the postal ballots Question 1: Due to COVID-19, should we extend the eligibility period for songs for TISC Annual 2021 as a once-off? (a) Yes, we should extend the eligibility period - 9 (b) No, it should remain the same - 10 Outcome of vote: The rule does not change, the eligibility period for TISC Annual 2021 will not be extended beyond the usual criteria. Question 2: Currently, the eligibility period for the TISC Annual 2021 means that songs released after 1 January 2020 are eligible. If we extend the eligibility period for songs for TISC Annual 2021, how much of an extension should be offered? (Please answer this question even if you answered no to Question 1): (a) 3 month extension (song released after 1 October 2019 are eligible) - 6 (b) 6 month extension (songs released after 1 July 2019 are eligible) - 11 (c) 12 month extension (songs released after 1 January 2019 are eligible) - 2 Outcome of vote: The preferred option if there would have been an extension would be to allow a 6-month extension. However, as users voted against any extension in Question 1 it means the eligibility period will remain the same and will not be extended for TISC Annual 2021.
  21. Samoa registered their first case today
  22. And just to update on how the results changed the Top 40 rankings, based on PPJ averages. 4 songs from TISC Open 2020 made the Top 40 list, and for some perspective, you might remember that no songs from TISC Annual 2020 made the list, not even the winner. Overall (Annual and Open) Top 40 updates: The Serbian winner goes #3 in the all-time Overall Top 40 list. Other new entries in the Overall Top 40 include Canada #24 and Malta and Ireland both sharing position #40. In terms of the Top 40 All-Time in the Open Category: Serbia goes in at #2 on the list, Canada #16, Malta and Ireland share #25 position, while France and India share #35 position.
