  1. Pts. 125,000 Compared to the U.S. Flag, the national flag of Malaysia has ...? ♦ A: one stripe more ♦ B: one stripe less ♦ C: ♦ D: POTUS has released a statement..... (not on Twitter obvs ) "that is fake news....fake news.... you are fake news....America first, we are the biggest, the best, we are world leaders in stripes. Did you know, we now have more stripes than electoral college votes. Never in the history of this country has their been more stripes on the flag. Since taking office, 300 additional stripes have been added to our flag.... unprecedented...." and so on
  2. Maybe in The Thomas crown Affair?
  3. Lithium comes from "lithos" meaning stone. Hence words like "lithosphere".
  4. The botanical name for the sunflower is Helianthus so a gardening expert may have helped you out here too Helianthus Temporal range: Eocene-recent[1] Common sunflower
  5. Yeah so the question must state when the decade in question started
  6. A decade is a period of 10 years so it doesn’t matter
  7. A new year is here which means our attention will soon be turning towards the TISC Annual 2021. Shawn Mendes claimed last year's Annual contest for Canada, earning his nation the opportunity to host this year's event. Discussions have been ongoing with the winning jury member @intoronto on his availability to host the upcoming contest. However, after giving it careful consideration, intoronto has concluded that he cannot dedicate the appropriate attention needed to host an event which in his words, he has much respect for: The possibility of co-hosting was discussed, but for this edition, intoronto has decided to decline hosting rights in the interest of time and has asked that we discuss co-hosting in future and if agreed, he would like to have a chance to become a co-host if the opportunity arises. Therefore we will open up hosting rights for the upcoming contest and after this contest we will have a vote to agree if a co-hosting opportunity comes up in future if @intoronto may be allowed to be given his chance of hosting. What all of this means is that we now consult the rulebook to help find our next host: 9. (b) If the winning nation wishes to decline the hosting duties, the runner-up of that edition will then be awarded the opportunity to accept or decline the hosting rights. If the runner-up also declines the hosting duties, the 3rd placed nation of that edition will have the opportunity to accept or decline the hosting rights. The opportunity of hosting will now be offered to last year's runner up China. @Vic Liu will now be given 10 days to decide if he wishes to take up the opportunity of hosting. If China declines hosting rights, the 3rd-placed nation at last year's TISC Annual, France, will be given the opportunity to host @Bohemia @Benolympique. If both nations decline we will open up the bidding process per the official rules.
  8. I sure did, and the realisation of a dream of taking the Millionaire hot seat Thanks for the game
  9. I knew it, too good to be true that I would get a question on Godzilla correct As an old voice on Irish radio used to say: "The questions didn't suit me" . It was going so well too until 64,000
  10. To be honest, I couldn't be sure
  11. Sadly I no longer have @dcro or @Olympian1010 as my film experts so I'm a goner here. I haven't a clue, really. This is not on my radar at all So I'll risk it all and crash out if I have to. I guess A: Destroy All Monsters. In my head it makes sense as all monsters is the final bloodbath, right? A Final answer.
  12. Woohoooo!!!! I was more inclined for Franciscan so gladly it got eliminated
  13. Can we go back to the easy questions Still can't fathom that one for the heartbeat
  14. Pts. 64,000 The precept "ora et labora" goes back to the 6th century Rule of ...? ♦ A: Saint Augustine ♦ B: Saint Benedict ♦ C: ♦ D: I'll go with B: Saint Benedict. Final answer.
  15. 50:50 please
  16. Haven't a clue
  17. @QuasitI take it I am not allowed to use a calculator right? Because I would multiply 78 (a somewhat average adult heart rate) x 60 (minutes in an hour) x 24 (hrs in a day) x 365 (days in most years) x 70 (number of years). There's no way I can do this in my mind. So the answer is I don't know off the top of my head so I will have to switch.
  18. Thank you @mrv86 for your help
  19. Ready when you are
  20. No problem, I am making some cocoa while I wait
  21. Yaaayyy!!!! About the delay, don't worry. I'll be here if you get it working again and if not we can resume tomorrow.
  22. No worries. I thought you were just adding suspense
  23. I know someone from South Sulawesi so really wanted to call them too
  24. Don't do that Yes
  25. You literally read my entire thought process which is both a little scary and re-assuring The one I was ruling out right away was the wind in the Kalahari. I have never heard of a card game by that name before and I would be stung if it was that for 32,000. It really sounds Indonesian to me but I have never heard of that title either. And I have never heard of a seasoning with that name but I am terrible at food and drink questions. I am afraid if I do 50:50 it will leave me A and D so to hell with it, let's go for D. Forgive me @Griff88 if I got it wrong
