Damn, I would have never expected Korea to be this good after the Seoul Cup, they legitimately have a shot at finishing in the Top8.
-
I wouldn't call it that surprising. The core of our team is from Ferencváros who had a pretty mediocre/bad fall season, and as I have already said, the match against Kazakhstan already gave us some signs that we are far from our top form. When the older players like Kovacsics, Tomori and Kovács, plus our best player at the last ECh (Háfra) are all visibly struggling, we are pretty much fucked.
-
Well, this was just terrible. Tokyo is really far away from us right now.
-
I told you that this Hungarian team can have same pretty bad days, and today we are simply terrible so far. Some of the key players like Háfra continue to be mediocre at best at this WCh and that's just not enough against the stronger teams.
-
BRA v FRA 19 - 19 Group B is sure getting interesting. The World and European champions played two matches against non-European teams, and only have 1 point.
-
That France v Portugal is the best match Budapest could have hoped for to host. But yeah, this will be 3 losses for us if we qualify.
-
Does anyone know what happened to France? We beat Korea relatively easily in Seoul.
-
I sure hope that you are right about us being qualified before the final match. With this young team anything is possible, like, we can even lose to both Spain and Montenegro. We can always have a bad day like against Serbia in the Seoul Cup. And it's not like we were that great today, some of the key players were fairly mediocre, so we need to improve otherwise Spain might be too strong for us.
-
Well, at the very least your OQT spot is more or less secured with that ECh 4th place.
-
Holy shit, I didn't even pay attention to other matches, Korea is beating France! (and Slovenia beat Netherlands!)
-
I knew that Romania had some issues, but this match against Spain is still shocking.
-
wtf Romania ROU v ESP 9-16 after the 1st half

Seoul Cup results 3rd round v 25 - 23 v 22 - 29
-
Ugh, we have been eliminated by Ukraine again in the R16 in Men's Epee. I am afraid that we are officially doomed. On the other hand the girls are doing a great job in sabre, they defeated Italy pretty easily and they are in the SF. Maybe we will have at the least two teams in Tokyo.

Seoul Cup results 1st round v 29 - 25 v 28 - 27 2nd round v 31 - 25 v 24 - 43
-
Yeah... that won't be an easy match. The last time we beat you was in 1974. Since then we had 4 draws and 2 losses.
-
I have no idea what to expect from us at this upcoming WCh. We got a lot of young players in our squad who did really well at the junior competitions (we won the U20 WCh and the U19 ECh in the last few years). GK: Éva Kiss (32, Győr), Blanka Bíró (25, Ferencváros), Ágnes Triffa (32, Debrecen) RW: Lukács Viktória (24, Ferencváros), Dorottya Faluvégi (21, Győr) RB: Anna Kovács (28, Debrecen), Nikolett Kiss (23, Érd), Katrin Klujber (20, Ferencváros) CB: Anikó Kovacsics (28, Ferencváros), Gabriella Tóth (23, Érd), Petra Vámos (19, Debrecen) P: Laura Szabó (22, Érd), Petra Tóvizi (20, Debrecen), Noémi Pásztor (20, Ferencváros) LB: Zsuzsanna Tomori (32, Siófok), Noémi Háfra (21, Ferencváros) LW: Nadine Schatzl (26, Ferencváros), Gréta Márton (20, Ferencváros) The average age of the squad is 24.2 which is relatively low for us, specially so close to the Olympics. 10 players are coming from Champions League clubs, 2 from Győr and 8 from Ferencváros. And 1 from the EHF Cup winning Siófok.

lol, we might get a Hungary vs. Romania PO "final" in Budapest right at the 100 years anniversary of Trianon. Things will definitely get messy if that PO final happens.
-
Sorry Slovakia, as expected, we are too shit to stop Wales from qualifying.
-
They already change everything for the World Cup qualification, they even reorganized the NL divisions, so who the hell knows what they will do the next time.
-
Oh ffs, UEFA made a rule to help host teams. Which means that they want to avoid having two host teams in the same PO path if they can. Which also means that there definitely won't be 3 host teams in Path C (Scotland is already there). So both and can't be in Path C.
-
Oh shit, I knew that I forgot something about this stupid PO system. I forgot that the non-group winners of NL will be in a draw if they can't fill a path "perfectly". In other words, if everything goes as expected, will be in a draw to determine whether they will be in Path A or Path C. 3 of those teams will be in Path A and 1 will be in Path C.
-
wtf, Great Britain almost beat Korea in R16 (45-44).
