If you are going to slash racquetball and squash like that then you need to drop the team events. No individual qualifiers for squash is ridiculous.

Not really, if the tournament was to be held today, both men's and women's tournaments would contain nations solely from the top 15 and this is before nations begin farming for points. Here's what the entrants would look like:

If anyone is interested, here's a comparison between the 2020 and 2024 Olympics (for sailing/surfing I went with their original schedule). The colored squares was the 2020 schedule (blue = qualification only days, gold = medal days) while squares with a letter (Q for qualification only days, F for finals days) is the 2024 schedule.
 
Most sports either stayed the same or shifted one day, but there are some major changes like taekwondo shifting from the first four days to days 11-15.
 

That score would have gotten Rylan Wiens 4th at the Olympics, similarly Margo Erlam's performance in the women's 3m would have won silver. Tanesha Lucoe's performance in the women's 10m would've placed her 7th. Of course, comparing scores between competitions (especially national competitions) isn't the best, but it does show our diving team is still strong. Now we just need someone in the men's 3m...

yeah that's why I was confused.
 
either way this part is not clear and I believe we will have some problems when the qualification tournaments start.
 
if they seriously have such a rule (which I doubt) it's better for Oceania to cancel its qualification tournament, that way they still can have 8 athletes in the Games.
 

Usually I dislike it when sports cut their tripartite quotas, but for judo it probably doesn't hurt much, the old system guaranteed 121 different nations so cutting it down to 116+ nations isn't the end of the world. It'll also help prevent the mixed team event from having an embarrassing low amount of teams (2020 was okay, but there could be situations where we'll struggle to get 8+ teams in the old system).

I mean you are already pushing half with 13/32 teams. The issue is the European qualifying format benefits the stronger teams where weaker teams need to rely on the top teams having a bad day on the right day.
