Big Brother (probably the most popular TV show in Brazil) is about to start a new season and there's a participant whose name is Eslovênia (literally "Slovenia"). Needless to say, some people are already calling her Eslováquia (Slovakia) @hckošice

I love Brown, but this selection doesn't make a lot of sense. However, I thought Zhou had a worse day than him, and he's selected anyway. Either way, Malinin should be on the team.

Celebrations of Djokovic because he "stands by his own opinion" are so dumb...on the contrary, if he stood by his opinion he would have simply said: I'm not getting the vaccine because I think it's bullshit and not entering any place and tournament if they require it. Instead he's a huge hypocrite and made up claims of medical exemptions to get more money and records. And if he campaigned for other people to get vaccinated while thinking vaccines are dangerous it's even worse.

Also laughable the fact that after all this time people are still using the "in DR Congo with no vaccines people are not dying on the streets" argument...by a quick Google search in DR Congo: 46% of population is under 15, median age is 19, child mortality rate 7-10%, only a few people are over 50...not a surprise that in countries where nearly all the a bit frail and a bit old people are already dead there won't be many dying of covid on the streets, vaccine or not vaccine.

Ahh give it a rest. We are in a pandemic situation.

Damn anti-vaxxers get that vaccine and respect the country’s restrictions.

I support the Australian politicians here. All people should help to slow down the pandemi. Not thinking egoistic.

I don’t like this decision. If you want to take part then you should be vaccinated. Anti-vaxxers are so annoying.

Clown NoVax has no dignity left anyway so he might as well claim he has a critical medical condition and play the victim of the system role. Hopefully he is given a huge helicopter hat to wear so he can avoid people coming within 3 metres of him.

Now that the 2021 TISC season has come to and end I thought I would share a little update on how the 2021 entries shaped the overall TISC All-Time Top 40.

The Top 40 list is based on points-per-jury (PPJ) averages and is an elite ranking of the songs that scored big amongst our interntional juries. I am happy to report that all 6 medal winning entries from both contests this year made it into the Overall Top 40. However, it was the 2021 Open Contest medalists who made the biggest impact on the Overall Top 40 with Czech Republic's Lenny making it all the way up to number 12 in the chart. See details below:

    TISC Annual Top 40:

New entries in the TISC Annual Top 40:

    # 9   The Weeknd - Blinding Lights (4.78 PPJ)
    # 11  Molly Sandén - Husavik (4.69 PPJ)
    # 15 Dermot Kennedy - Giants (4.44 PPJ)

No other entries from TISC Annual 2021 made it on the All-Time TISC Annual Top 40 chart.

    TISC Open Top 40:

New entries in the TISC Open Top 40:

    # 8   Lenny - Hell.o (5.50 PPJ)
    # 16 Gin Wigmore - Written In The Water (5.06 PPJ)
    # 18 Avicii - Wake Me Up (4.92 PPJ)
    # 27 The Rumour Said Fire - The Balcony (4.33 PPJ)
    # 38 Lenny - Claudio Capéo - Un Homme Debout (3.69 PPJ)

    TISC Overall Top 40:

New entries in the TISC Overall Top 40:

    # 12   Lenny - Hell.o (5.50 PPJ)
    # 23  Gin Wigmore - Written In The Water (5.06 PPJ)
    # 25  Avicii - Wake Me Up (4.92 PPJ)
    # 30  The Weeknd - Blinding Lights (4.78 PPJ)
    # 33  Molly Sandén - Husavik (4.69 PPJ)
    # 40  Dermot Kennedy - Giants (4.44 PPJ)

Only 5 non-medal winning entries appear in the Overall Top 40 with 2 champions and 16 former medalists now finding themselves outside the Top 40 chart!

The TISC Annual Top 40 chart will be played in the TISC Annual 2022 thread in the days preceding the live show and a similar airing of the TISC Open Top 40 chart is planned for the TISC Open 2022 later in the year.
Then as part of the 20th edition celebrations in 2023 a special Hot 100 Chart will be compiled showcasing the overall Top 100 of all time.

Some considerations about the first Junior Pan American Games. After fighting for the top spot for most of the Games (with Colombia ahead of Brazil at some moments), comfortably took the lead in the last two days to finish with 11 more gold medals compared to . In fact, the host nation almost lost the second position by the end.

didn't send teams in Athletics and Swimming, but still managed a pretty good result, surpassing in the last day of competition. I'm sure that was not what Mexico expected, but they still had an amazing showing here winning the most medals among all nations (sadly, almost half of those were silver).

While Mexico still isn't a Olympic powerhouse compared to , they seem to have cemented their place as the best Central American/Caribbean nation in continental competitions. as the third best South American nation behind Colombia isn't exactly surprising, but I expect a better showing from them at the main Games in 2023.

Worth noting is getting their best ever position in 7th, they're certainly on the rise - of course most nations here gained a position at the medal table thanks to the non-interest of . also did great and maybe that's a good sign they will return to win gold medals at the next Pan Am Games.

31 medalling nations is similar to what we see at Pan American Games (in fact, equal to Lima 2019 and Toronto 2015). Didn't win a single medal:
