  1. 60 eligible athletes start, bibs 1 through 30 shoot in lap 1, bibs 31 through 60 shoot in lap 2 and from there on they are together and it's one 'group'. Makes for a bit of an unfair race, so yeah.
  2. 831km in Japan goes faster than the marathon
  3. Tomorrow it's the turn of paraskier Thomaz de Moraes in the men's 400m T47, good medal chance according to his PB. @brunamoura
  4. Big fan of natural track luge I'm assuming.
  5. Because it's Sevens so you need seven winners
  6. The one with the smallest losing margin? I know, that's complete bullshit, but the only one I can think of.
  7. And there starts the downfall (I hope not)
  8. Fairly sure Eurosport ain't gonna show that on TV here On the Player maybe though, that'd be interesting (for ten minutes probably)
  9. It's like taking the Totallympics poll where everyone chooses their five favourite sports, and then go and say "Ok so all the rest can be removed." Wtf no, that's not what we said.
  10. 'Let kids be kids' Sure, which includes a whole lot of learning, since you can't let them run around and do whatever they want until they're 18 or so. Well, there are countries where that happens, but that's because there's no money for education at all and we all see that doesn't work out well.
  11. Fuck me sideways. I knew IAAF had lost it, but this bad?
  12. Is that for Seoul 1988 or for next year?
  13. Of course, like everywhere. Talk about 5 more minutes and students will protest.
  14. Now you're just doing it on purpose, because if not, I'm also in favour of 7 schooldays a week.
  15. I think longer school days are not that unnecessary.
  16. 14 June 2020 - Half marathon of Amersfoort, the one where I made my debut this year The goals are to finish while running from start to finish (this year I did finish, but had to walk mostly after 19km) and to do so under two hours (this year I finished in 2:04.39). My preparation is pretty straightforward: starting two weeks ago I'm trying to run at my planned half marathon pace or a little faster (around 5:35/kilometer) a kilometer longer every one/two weeks. Did 5 and 6 kilometers, today I managed 7. I've lost a bit of endurance in the past two months or so, hence the starting back at 5. Hitting 10k on that pace before the end of the year would be very good
  17. Sure. The point is she'd probably be facing jail even with her excuse. Pretty dumb, but I guess 'pretty dumb' comes with smuggling drugs, so yeah.
  18. Yeah that was the whole point. By the way, you can in fact get jailed for doping in some countries, like Germany. Even more so, supplying athletes with doping (which is what she 'admitted' she 'thought' she was doing) can give you up to 10 years in prison. https://www.dw.com/en/germanys-anti-doping-law-comes-into-force/a-18928499
  19. Little detail: she was smuggling it in a car she got (like all so called 'A-status' athletes) from the Dutch NOC, with their logo on it and everything
  20. Ah, I also only strike when I'm sleeping.
  21. Yeah, which she said she thought was doping. Admitting doping to get away with smuggling drugs, that's a new one.
  22. Congratulations, you did a good job!
  23. Personally I often avoid it (and similar, bigger sites) because I'm always behind on one thing or another and so try to avoid spoilers
  24. Even when Chelsea has their first 10 minute period in which they dominate, it's Ajax who scores
