We have one of the best opposite’s in the men’s game, but he is surrounded by an average team, while we have a decent women’s team, but no good opposite.

At least there is still the option to watch multiple channels here, like Belgium, Germany and the BBC. But Eurosport coverage was really poor last time around, so I don't have my hopes up for their TV channel. It really seemed to be designed for getting people to watch on demand stuff.
 
I will pay it gladly anyway, but I won't stay around after the Olympics for sure.

Are you sure? According to @Topatletieklive, the Dutch team are currently in 16th place, thousands ahead of number 17.

In all seriousness, Terpstra has consistenly proven herself and unless I missed it in the last few world cups, she has nearly always finished before Tauber. It's a shame for Tauber who is sort of stuck between never passing the older generation and already being passed by the new generation, but I wasn't surprised at all personally.

I think a lot of people here clearly are in denial about Greece becoming the new power of European swimming, so they make ridiculous comments to diminish the prestige of these European Championships 

There is no reason to have this event, not this week, not this month, but this year as a whole... It's a complete joke and devalues the European Championships. The swimmers don't want it, the fans could care less, most TVs don't show it... You can name it "Random Belgrade meeting number 4" and hardly anyone could tell the difference. Swimming has one of the worst Governing bodies, when it comes to organising their events and calendar.

Looking at the program, the only Dutch medal chance seems to be the women’s time trial, with Vollering and Van Dijk.

If they (NED) don't qualify for VNL finals, they have some more time to heal and rest for the Olympics.

In order to prepare for... LA 2028? What kind of crazy injuries are going to take four years to heal?
 
There is nothing more important than an Olympic participation to heal injuries for.

Luckily there's Belgian TV, but too bad it's relay day and they don't talk about their relay teams in terms of normal words, but just by their nicknames (like every single Belgian sports team has a nickname)  
 
We've just seen the Cheetahs get bronze, now the Tornados should no doubt get gold. Afterwards we'll get the Rockets and the Falcons, respectively.

Strange that De Witte, on paper our slowest runner, ran the fastest of the 4. Both Peeters and De Witte (in the heats) faster than in Budapest, Bol and Klaver (who ran in 2nd ) slower.
