  1. Poland is really addicted in hosting badminton events... After hosting BWF World Seniors and European U17 this year, they are also hosting European Club Championships and European U19 next year
  2. Because removing those parts of the quoted post in mobile is such a pain. Sorry about that
  3. Definitely. The song "Do svidanya, Moskva" is planted deep inside my heart and will always be the best Olympic song.
  4. I don't know whether I am reading the right rulebook or not (I just hit the result from searching "FIG tie-break rules"), but only the artistic gymnastics section clearly stated that the tie-breaker is valid for all events in FIG calendar. e.g: Tie-breaker rule is applied when Yulo's score is tied with our gymnast. Whereas in the rhythmic section, the rulebook described tie-breaker for Olympics, World Games, and the World Champs, but no specific mention for other events. This might be the loophole, and together with that crappy handbook, Malaysia is simply using that as justification.
  5. Haha yes I am very aware of this. When Vietnam host multi event, they will make sure shuttlecock will be added. Vietnam will easily win the Games. Also vovinam and finswimming are expected to be on the list. I actually hoped the government would agree to host the Games in HCMC, since I felt the venues in Hanoi looks old (despite it is used for 2003 SEAG). But they refused since building the Rach Chiec Stadium will cost more.
  6. Not as famous as they used to be but Black Eyed Peas is perhaps the most famous artist to ever perform at a SEA Games ceremony
  7. These are from about 2 weeks ago, mostly focusing on the wooden beams
  8. And now also that women's breaking medals (at least in the web). But three sets of canoeing medals are still not showing Man, this is confusing
  9. So in the news, there are two Malaysian rhythmic gymnasts who both awarded the gold because they scored the exact same score but with different E-score. The technical delegate then changed the result and relegated the other one to silver position, as per FIG rules. But the handbook doesn't mention such tie-breaker and Malaysia protested the decision. https://www.thestar.com.my/sport/gymnastics/2019/12/09/msian-gymnast-izzah-stripped-of-one-gold-medal-as-sea-games-rhythmic-gymnastics-controversy-continues
  10. Just sharing the image of 6th ever SEAG silver of Timor Leste
  11. One taekwondo athlete from Timor Leste entered finals!
  12. Free access?
  13. But hey here is their first official medal:
  14. I've never seen someone submitted a photo like this for a Games result system
  15. They guaranteed 2 bronze medals after boxing QF
  16. If anyone likes Poomsae: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bLtX7Mgd1k
  17. Yea it's actually India.. Perhaps the website wants to compete in 'publishing wrong results' with Southeast Asian Games
  18. Hendahewa shows her quality
  19. @Olympian1010 lol looks like I have to retract my statement about a new level in host's crime. Apparently the manager either did not read the amended rules or unable to understand the English
  20. Two of the infamous incidents are the absence of the video review in sepak takraw and when a Malaysian silat athlete suddenly won the match after he got injured by his opponent.
  21. In Beach modern pentathlon, Indonesian athletes only get the one gold despite finishing 1-2. Why? Because of a sudden rule change which allows 1 country to get one medal. So from INA-INA-THA, it became INA-THA-PHI... I hereby proclaim the host's crimes have already surpassed KL 2017
  22. Now I'm worried about the fate of 2021 Asian Winter Games
  23. Takraw final: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7K5uwnRBlw
  24. Haha alright. Firstly, thanks. None of my parents are high school graduates but they attended basic English courses by Indian immigrants in their hometown, so they are keen to have their children to excel in other languages. Since I was young, I've been exposed to English from 'Magic English' (a series of VCD with Disney movies excerpts intended for toddlers). When I was 4, I got extra English lessons from two Indian teachers who opened a learning center just in front of my school. Later my aunt's boss introduced a private teacher and I spend about 5 years learning with her. And perhaps the system in my high school also helps. We had British and Australian native speakers in class once a week, "Speak English Day", and a reading program where every week we read along a chapter of famous books (Tuesdays with Morrie and The Alchemist for example) and have big discussions. Pretty much like that. I still do not consider my English is up there though, my speaking is not so good
  25. But as I said before, both of them have not-so-good opening. I still prefer Singapore though, we can look for real time update easier and the accuracy is very high (no sudden revision).
