3x3 pictogram is easily the worst. Letters/numbers/logos should stay away from the pictograms.

Col_Frost reacted to AlFHg in Swimming Qualification to Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games
To whom it may concern, (and for the first time in a while I write this sentence not to start a cover letter), here is a very brief recap of swimming qualification after some events took place. Please note that, as @phelpspointed out and as I'm sure almost all of you know, every nation uses its own additional qualification criteria, so this is a purely statistical data made for my own fun.
At the moment, 25 athletes have reached at least once the minimum A in one event. In total, considering multiple participation for athletes, I counted 34 times that A standard was reached. At the same time, 121 minimum B were also established (maximum 1 per nation per event, not counting nations where an A standard in the relevant event was reached).
With this data, this is the current quota distribution:
13 athletes with 18 minimum A achieved;
2 athletes with 4 minimum A achieved;
2 athletes with 3 minimum A achieved;
1 athlete with 2 minimum A achieved;
, , and with 1 athlete each, with 1 minimum A.
Other nations having achieved at least one minimum B are ,
Among the qualifying meetings, the most proficient for qualification purposes has been the TYR Pro Swim Series in Des Moines, , with 27 A standard, followed by City of Milan Trophy, with 5, and Greek and Lithuanian national championships, with 1 each.
Hali Flickinger, has achieved a minimum A in 3 different events.
PS: Please note that I only have partial data regarding Korean National Championships.

They do that all the freaking time. Same for World Cups or something (and same for FIL in the luge).
IBSF is by far the best: live streams on YouTube (bonus points for best platform), with neutral thumbnails (bonus points for no spoilers) and replayable after it's finished (bonus points for being able to watch whenever you want).

While they're at it, they might as well file a lawsuit against the United States Soccer Federation for having 'soccer' in their federation's name.

Interesting interview with the ice hockey prospect Damian Tyczynski. The most productive player of this Slovak Ice Hockey Juniors League
Here the interview. It is obviously in slovak, but I guess our languages are so similar that it should not be a problem to understand, if anyone interested and don´t understand something, feel free to ask me, I´ll translate the part.
I loved especially the part "most of all, I miss Polish meals"

I dont think that there is a nation without doping case in weightlifting. Problem is that both athlete and nation continues with active participation at big events,so every penalty is actualy futile. I see Maiya Maneza competing,Ilya Ilin and so on. This is sport in which rule 'once a cheater,always a cheater' aplies best.
Conclusion? Drastic penalties. Even though i consider this sport as one of my favorites i wouldnt have a problem with its exclusion from olympic program. Only then,and even then maybe,they will learn a lesson.

I didn't say it's strange
She moved to Germany when she was 1 year old. First she was gymnastic than started to train skeleton.

There's no anti-Norwegian doping fight in cross country though. They legalised Symbicort as the TRUE magic potion after Norway got their asses spanked in Liberec 2009. All the beef is anti-Russian. In biathlon their issue has been about shooting, if Tandrevold doesn't randomly blow 3-4 misses like Eckhoff & Olsbu then she could dominate like peak Tora Berger. Look at the men's side, once JTB started to hit 9/10 - 19/20 and not 7/10 - 15/20 he's unstoppable. Frode Andresen & Lars Berger would have seriosly eaten into Ole Einar's dominance if only they for once sorted out their shooting.

Bit of both, I guess. He had very good conditions in first jump, but same as Romoeren and Vassiliev, who jumped right after him. In turn best ones (BIBs 40-50) couldn't count on wind and classification after first round was full of suprises. I remember that in second Malysz advanced ten posistions and Loitzl even more. In second round Benkovic jumped not so well (13th result) but it was enough to defend first place. Of course it's nothing compare with todays competition
