heywoodu 12,909 Posted January 15, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 15, 2019 Elia Viviani is the first winner of the year, after a mighty sprint brought him the first stage win of the Tour Down Under. If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Wumo 2,696 Posted January 30, 2019 #6 Share Posted January 30, 2019 And there is some hype about another Belgian, but not in the good way. The organisers of the Vuelta a San Juan have decided to expel Iljo Keisse from the Argentinean race for "behaviour that damaged the reputation and honour of the Vuelta a San Juan, the UCI and cycling in general". On Tuesday, the Deceuninck-QuickStep rider had apologised for feigning a sexual act behind a waitress from a local bar as she posed for a photograph with the team. She went on to make an official police complaint and spoke to local media. Keisse was interviewed by police and reportedly given a 3000 pesos (US$80) fine. A bit much to actually disqualify someone from a race for that in my opinion. Should and easily could have been dealth with by a good fine.
