  1. Good to know he is trying for Tokyo. Here is the post: https://www.instagram.com/p/CPOJ58lFj_9/ He is also going to DOha for the DL ! I wonder about Shawncy Barber too. He got card funding but no word from him.
  2. 6 entries in an Olympic event is too low lol. I think cutting one spot from each of the continental qualifiers + worlds (4 per gender) for the single sculls could work.
  3. Amelie Kretz with a strong 6th place in Lisbon, which brings her into the final qualification position for Tokyo. So that is 4 quotas for Canada in triathlon.
  4. It was close to being dropped for 2016. Rowing is not a surprise, a lot of smaller nations can produce a quality boat over 2 athletes. Its no surprise its lost quotas three Olympics in a row (including Paris)
  5. Italy lol, what an average to bad song winning. Idgi.
  6. claims the last berth! First ever Czech appearance in the sport at the Olympics?
  7. I wouldn't include baseball/softball, skateboarding, etc. Those disciplines are not permanently on the Olympic program
  8. Artistic swimming- the only sport with 100% accuracy in predicting medals. It's boring af, is judged and is not really a sport. Shooting would be next for me. It's slowly losing its relevance in the international stage.... would not be surprised to see it gone soon.
  9. @LarajaIs there any chance someone from qualifies?
  10. Team Canada Marc-Antoine Blais Bélanger (Montreal, QC) – Men’s Individual ÉpéeAlex Cai (Toronto, ON) – Men’s Team & Individual FoilShaul Gordon (Richmond, BC) – Men’s Individual SabreJessica Guo (Toronto, ON) – Women’s Team & Individual FoilEleanor Harvey (Hamilton, ON) – Women’s Team & Individual FoilGabriella Page (Blainville, QC) – Women’s Individual SabreKelleigh Ryan (Ottawa, ON) – Women’s Team & Individual FoilEli Schenkel (Vancouver, BC) – Men’s Team & Individual FoilMaximilen Van Haaster (Montreal, QC) – Men’s Team & Individual Foil Substitutes: Blake Broszus (San Diego, California) Alanna Goldie (Calgary, AB) Only surprise is Cai beating out Brozus for the last foil spot, as the latter is ranked much higher. I don't expect that much from this team, but maybe an outside shot at a medal exists for Harvey or Guo in the individual or the team foil women's event.
  11. Probably sign the athlete agreement that states they agree with the rules
  12. https://athletics.ca/tracking-lists/?id=57 Athletics Canada tracker
  13. Interesting this is coming to light now for the Brazilian NF. Canada for ex: "With his 16th place finish, Ciprick (Baie D’Urfé, QC) keeps Canada in the running to unlock an Olympic spot in the men’s 3m individual event. Diving Plongeon Canada will learn if they receive a spot after other federations confirm their rosters to FINA. The remaining spots will be distributed by FINA based on the 2021 World Cup results."
  14. Doesn't say anything about it just being finals (ie top 12)
  15. Anyone know why has an entry in the K1 200 for women? They have the max team size.
  16. rower in men's single sculls is born in 2000, one of their two in LM2x is 2000, one from is from 2002. I am sure there is more.
  17. Yea! who knows if that works in her advantage if that happens.
  18. and defending Pan am Champ.
  19. I am assuming those qualified are removed from the list?
  20. Is there a list/rankings for the world cup quotas? Perhaps @thiago_simoeswould know
  21. Her argument is she was ranked high enough to qualify before she went to have a baby. She planned everything so that she could back and compete at the qualifier, and that has been taken away from here. I really do not see how the IOC can just grant her a spot like that, but it is what it is atp.
