    The IOC does not need to suspend Iran, by issuing a fine in conjunction with the IJF should be sufficient. The IJF can suspend or w/e but at the end of the day politics ruins the chances athletes get and that is unfortunate.

    Only way to stop it is if the IJC/IOC suspend/fine Iran and explain to them this is not okay in sport, otherwise there is no incentive for them to stop

    There are steep financial penalties for withdrawing after draw.

    withdrew from the team event, so only 40 countries will compete there. 9 Countries namely, Will also compete in the individual event, meaning a total of 49!

    First gold for (should have been 2) but what a great problem to have for Canada. Who will represent the country in Tokyo in the 76 kg, defending Olympic champion Weibe or now bronze in 2017 and gold in 2018 (in the 72kg) Di Stasio?

    Skylar Park is a good talent for Canada. However she just lost to another Canadian recently in Las Vegas. Three Canadian women have outside shots in making top 6 for Tokyo 2020 rankings... which is impressive.
