  1. Problem is on both sides we have national athletes too, and just pure luck the other 4 women's weights there isn't anyone ready to make the Olympics.
  2. I re-read the qualification system, and this line: The highest placed male and highest placed female athlete, based on the results of the Finals from each Continental Championships 2020 will each qualify one (1) quota place for their NOC, provided the continent has not already an NOC qualified under Criteria 1 (2019 World Championships) or 3 (2019/2020 Trampoline World Cup Series). To me this means Oceania does not get a continental spot, only Africa will, because Oceania stands to gain athletes through the world series. This means 9 spots will be given to men through the world series and 8 for the women. Men So these 9 should get the quotas based on the current ranking: and would get the reallocated host + tripartite spots if the World Cup Rankings are allocated first. However, I don't think this is the case as the qualification system does not explicitly say this (unlike the other parts of the document). If these are reallocated first, and would get the quotas, bumping those two world cup quotas to and Women So these 8 should get the quotas based on the current ranking: and would get the host + tripartie reallocation, in either scenario.
  3. I feel for her. Deguchi is the better judoka and it came down to one tournament where they never faced off. Sad.
  4. They wouldn't. Travelling reserves are not given accreditation unless they are called into replace someone.
  5. for the mixed relay you can name 4 athletes, if Barr is named as part of the team, then only 3 "new" athletes can be named.
  6. I am not sure but id imagine if you are going to use seeds, it will follow that format
  7. Also key is top 8 who cannot meet till quarterfinals
  8. Well Klimkait won...
  9. Is there a current Olympic ranking link? @MHSN
  10. Even the announcers were confused.
  11. The higher ranked of the two here would qualify, even though Deguchi is undefeated against Klimkait. It's beyond stupid. A head to head was supposed to happen but it didn't because of covid.
  12. Deguchi out of the Olympics.... lol I can't with these dumb rules
  13. The final rankings are available on the website.
  14. Yup. As it stands now they will qualify because Zupancic is in a qualifying position for Tokyo...
  15. Yes she got the continental spot, had she won one more match, that would have gone to the 90kg event. 6 is disappointing, but we lost one to pregnancy + one too covid19 (Jacob Valois, did not compete at all during Covid).
  16. With Guica's loss at the worlds (one more win would hav ebeen enough), Canada's judo team for Tokyo will be 6 judoka (could have been high as 9). A seventh is possible in the 90 kg if Mohab El Nahas medals tomorrow. 73kg 81kg 100kg 52kg 57kg 63kg Are the 6 weight categories.
  17. And Romana Gajdošová has moved into the last qualification spot in women's triathlon. @hckošice
  18. Tomorrow Christa Deguchi and Jessica Klimkait will compete in the 57 kg event. The higher ranked of the two will go to Tokyo. Klimkait has the "easier draw" imo. I hope Deguchi goes, she has shown she can win medals on the big stage.
  19. wow 35 just seems way too less for Slovakia
  20. Could be political asylum. And you really think will have less than 35 athletes?
  21. You can't qualify more than one if your not in the top 16, so no. If the IOC waited to reallocate the spots, would get and another tripartie would have gotten a spot, and I know for sure had asked for one. SO basically (and other tripartie countries) are SOL Looks like will luck out this time @rybak
  22. When New Zealand declines the mens spot... does it get awarded to or :POL? And if it's can another tripartie country request a spot?
