  1. IOC is obviously a bunch of politically-motivated hypocrites. If they ban Belarus from competing under their flag it's gonna serve as the ultimate proof IOC doesn't care about integrity they preach. It's all about politics. No wonder nobody takes those idiots & hypocrites seriously. Will they ban China? North Korea? Of course not. What a load of crap this is. One more word about IOC integrity and democracy on this board and I'm gonna riot

That's why Sasin is "responsible" for the Games from their side. If he spent 70 milions on an election that didn't take a place, then how much can he spend on the European Games that won't take a place?

European Olympic Committees probably don't realize there's an outright war in Polish internal politics going on for the last few years

I can fully expect EG being moved to a different city in Poland to avoid backlash. The COVID pandemic is a great excuse to justify such a change. Majchrowski obviously played the emotional blackmail card here but I don't think that moves the Law & Justice needle one bit.

I guess that depends on your understanding of what it means to know who someone was, but I think far more than 5 % of people could tell you what field of research she was in and when she lived. I think till this day she is only one of 2 or 3 people who won more than one Nobel prize and at that time that was pretty unthinkable, especially for a woman.

We live in a short-attention span era. 15 second TikTok video is more popular than knowledge who won Nobel Prize 110 years ago

Doesn’t matter. The result is the same (Norway dominates). Norway used to be far less dominant in cross-country and back then it took less to make their cross-country team and those who weren’t good enough to make it weren’t good enough to dominate biathlon. 10 or 15 years ago Germany was probably the best nation in men’s cross-country. Russia might come back, especially if people start to care less about their doping again, but Germany won’t. Like I said before: I absolutely expect the same nations to dominate as in cross-country. Norway/Sweden/Russia have by far the best depth in cross-country, so their B talents will go into biathlon and will dominate there. I just hope that IBU will realize that it is bad for their product and that they will change some things.

Finland still hasn't recovered from the 2001 doping scandal in cross-country IMO. But it's a bigger problem for them since they went belly up in ski jumping too.

Jacquelin hit the wrong targets or what? 0/5.

Cross-country should have less weight -> Longer penalty laps/shorter races in general. I am sure there would be a lot of other options, maybe you could for example make the targets smaller or increase the distance to the targets (not sure how expansive that would be?).

It will go the opposite way with TV calling the shots so shorter penalty loops in the individual and super sprint crap. Skiing will be even more important going forward and that plays exactly into Norway's hands. I just hope they keep the individual event in tact for the next 10-15 years :p

Absurd skiing time by Eckhoff once again. I hope that IBU will start breaking the Norwegian dominance, sadly I have no hope that they will change anything until their product is dead.

Norway enjoyed such a skiing advantage for years now. It's that Frode Andresen and Lars Berger couldn't hit 5/5 to save their lives before :p

I think you are asking too much ... even for Greis the polish team is a hopeless case.

I think if you only care about results and have no problem with doping, you should try to get Pichler.

Would be cool if Kamila Zuk didn't look so awful this season. The gap between her and Davidova is widening with every season. I mean, Zuk won European Championships gold but yeah, it's not 2000 when Poland was excited with such a result.
