  1. I feel like every ES commentator (even Polish ones) have said that it feels like Vlhova looks tired out there. It's obviously down to her chasing every single event this season. Shiffrin had a similar problem when she started doing speed races, when she only did tech she won slaloms by like 2 seconds and the gaps shrinked once she started doing speed events. But Shiffrin has actually skipped some speed rounds - and basically the more technical ones more often - and managed her own strenght a little better. Vlhova still has a chance to win the overall - even if Gut sweeps this weekend. But she'd need Gut to look crap in GS again - I have no idea how much confidence Gut has right now but she's clearly running hot while Vlhova seems to be stumbling towards the finish line after peaking in December and early January.

Or they just stopped considering whether there were civilian casualties.
Don't get me wrong. Obama was in no way perfect and neither will Biden be, but it's just stupidity using a single strike to start making Biden more dangerous than Trump.

Wait til he gets warmed up :p  Obama wanted to stay out of Syria so guess Biden forgot that memo. I'm not surprised he did given his age

given that she's gonna win easily the last DH at home, Lara is tomorrow's win away from stealing the most improbable DH World Cup title...

chances for Suter and even more Johnson to make up 150 points in 2 races imho are slimmer than Gut's 197...

in any case, I still hope Goggia can win the most deserved crystal globe of them all...5 races, 4 wins and a 2nd place for her before she got injured in that crazy Garmisch afternoon...

Mikaela Shiffrin won 5/5 slaloms in 2016 and didn't win the slalom globe either (due to injury) ;)

    a) Sorry, not sure what you are trying to say.

    b) I don’t wonder why Norway is able to develop world class speed skaters unlike Germany. Germany doesn’t develop world class speed skaters because they don’t want to and they don’t want to, because thanks to the GDR past German coaches are too „scared“ to develop a doping program. Other nations don’t have that „baggage“.

There are other nations who aren't scared of doping or other questionable methods (NOP in athletics, Larry Nassar sex abuse in gymnastics, jiffy bags in British cycling and so on). This is a problem with winter sports in Germany in general, other than luge & bobsleigh just about every other winter sport is in a slump lately. Biathlon, cross country skiing, ski jumping, nordic combined has also seen better days especially that #1 guy isn't German anymore. Speed skating just fits the trend.

As someone living in California, I can verify that corruption and incompetence isn’t limited to one party or the other. It’s very present in both. That’s why I endorse neither.

US politics is dominated by these two parties for over 150 years which means you have a problem. Bernie Sanders is old as the hills and you can't bet on him doing anything in politics at this stage :p Besides, California us heavily pro-Democrat anyway so I find it difficult how people from that state can say a bad word about Democrats like that. The Hollywood propaganda does it's job very well too. Republicans are the only evil in US politics and Fox News should be banned, that's the only mainstream message I get for number of years now :coffee:

I guess it wasn’t clear that I was referring to 2032, apologies.

Well, I’ve read what’s been reported about the possible bids. I’m near certain that all those countries had the opportunity to engage in dialogue with the IOC. I’m not saying that the possibility of a better bid taking shaped isn’t possible; I’m just saying that from what I’ve seen, Brisbane’s bid is best one at the moment.

And there won't be another one since IOC has clearly said they prefer Brisbane. So nobody will waste a single penny of public money to bid for something that's already been decided. You got to love democracy, transparency & integrity shown by IOC here? :p

lol @ the idea that Cuomo has a snowball's chance in hell of ever becoming president at this point.

Less of an internal war thing and more that I have a dislike for his mixture of incompetence and corruption. I don't follow NY politics super closely (since I live in Texas) but even all the way down here the latest stories have been hard to miss.

Corrupt & incompetent Democrats? How on Earth is that possible? Only Republicans are corrupt & incompetent after all :dunno:
