  1. BREAKING NEWS! Sam Kendricks is reinstated in the Pole Vault competition, because the officials didn't properly protect him from Covid!

  2. FIRST EVER GOLD MEDAL FOR GREECE IN ROWING AND FIRST EVER MEDAL IN A NON-LIGHTWEIGHT EVENT! So proud of Stefanos and he's only 24 and was only competing in the single sculls for two years. He was thinking of retiring after Tokyo, surely this result will change his life and attract sponsors to allow him to continue the sport. I am so proud of him! I knew he could win a medal here and believed for months that he could, but wow, gold! Amazing!

  3. After Day 7 Rio: 118/306 events, 62 NOCs with medals After Day 7 Tokyo: 133/339 events, 70 NOCs with medals On the seventh day in Rio, the US team ran away from the rest (20-13-17 in Rio). Now they chase China (13-10-14 in Rio) which had their best day yet. Japan (7-3-14 in Rio) continues to bring joy to their fans. With more to come, they have already surpassed the 1964 Olympics in terms of gold medals won (16). With Russians also keeping the pace (5-9-8 in Rio), we should continue to see an exciting battle for the first four places until the end. Success also for the Australians (5-6-7 in Rio), already more Olympic victories than in Rio. Big improvements so far by the Czechs (1-0-1 in Rio). Absolutely on their way making it the most successful summer games in history. Uganda back after not medalling last time and also tying 1968 and 1972 for most medals one in one summer games. It's not looking good yet for the Spaniards (3-0-2 in Rio). Some of their stronger events are yet to come but after a good performance at the recent judo world championships had them dreaming of converting that into medals. They leave judo in Tokyo without. The highest-placing team at that point still without medal here (aside from the absent North Koreans) is Sweden (1-2-1 in Rio). 4th place counter* (14) (12) (9) (7) (6) (5) (4) (3) (2) (1) and the Refugee Olympic Team *5th places in events that award two bronze medals

  4. Here's the shot why were DQ in the mixed relay. The American isn't even in the same shot as the others... Oh look, there she is! The attempt for the man to run 415 meters and woman 385 has massively failed.

  6. So far we have had 10! fourth (or fifth in combat) sport finishes. Rose + Caeli Mckay less than point away from bronze in their events after suffering a badly sprained ankle. Couldn't ask for more. 4 NR's in swimming (100m free, 400m free, 4x200 relay and 4x100 m relay men). They did their best and really no room for improvement at the time. Caroline Veyre gave it her all and won some points, she wasn't expected to beat her Italian opponent anyways. Shady El Nahas fought hard in the bronze medal match against 2 time defending WC Fonseca of Portugal Kai Langerfeld and Conlin McCabe had a great pairs race, and werent' expected to medal, so their medal was remarkable. The only one that is hard to take is Arthur Margelidon's performance. He made a small mistake costing him the medal Yea, I would have liked more medals, but the end of the day these are ALL remarkable performances, which we should ultimately be happy with

  7. Just to remember you guys that it is the TV who is producing the shooting coverages in Tokyo. so all my appologies, but I warned you before the games No idea though why OBC asked our TV to do it. Our TV send 20 members crew and did... well, how to say it..what they could so blame OBC

  10. Apparently it’s impossible to get DSQ in a relay nowadays… The getting reinstated is a mockery of the sport. I’m sorry, but at the Olympic Games, you should full well know how to find the proper exchange zone on your own. I get that it was likely an honest mistake, and I feel bad for the athlete, but WA shouldn’t be reinstating teams at this level for things like this.

Well, great performance from MacLeannan. What a legendary career. Unfortunate that these will be the first Olympics where Canada doesn't win a trampoline medal, I think it's clear that Gymnastics Canada has to develop some new talent.

  30. That's what you get if you only decide to follow 5-6 top US names all the frickin' time. NBC might not realize it but at the Olympics people actually want to follow the Olympics, not the 5-6 top dogs for two weeks. It's like regular US TV, they only talk about the Lakers, Yankees or Cowboys. While at the Olympics people want to see the damn NY Jets and Sacramento Kings too!

  35. Sorry guys, for the late answers, I wanted to watch the archery final, so had no time to look to the thread Very happy for the medal, obviously. Jakub just saved our canoe slalom face here (and not only the face but clearly also the ass). God bless him for this. Our 30th medal at the Summer Olympic Games since the independence. 13h Silver (10 - 13 - 7) the 19th in Canoeing Slalom, 7th Silver (8 - 7 -4), but the fun fact, believe it or not it is the very first medal in M K1 and now about the race itself. There were no doubts Prskavec will win gold, This was almost as sure bet as W C1 for Fox. Prskavec is just from another planet, the guy is right now unbeatable and he showed it today. What a final run from him, pure canoeing slalom orgasm Also a special mention to , They returned in force after the failure in Rio from zero medals to 4 ! The only nation to win medal in every event ! Respect. I will write a more detailed recap of Canoeing Slalom competitions, no worries, but after the games Congrats was great to stand together on the same podium again and p.s. Thank you guys for your support and cheering, really appreciate it.

Sjajan deveti plov za Stipanovica, bio je 7, ali konkurencija nije dobro prošla. Sad je treći sa 64 boda. 3 boda ispred Norveške. Zlato i srebro vjerovatno idu u Australiju i Cipar. vorobeva danas 18 i 23, ukupno 12. Šteta da nije ušla u medal race, ali ukupno solidan nastup. 50. The Canadian W8+ tried the same tactic in Rio and it was a major flop. The CBC commentator mentioned that going out fast and praying it would stick was Canada's only real chance at a medal. Well, this time it worked.
