Interesting observation made by Rhona Howie in the commentary for :SCO v :SUI.

The Scottish team are stuck in a cycle where they are losing matches, so they are lacking confidence. But it's also meant that they've started to question and challenge Morrison's calls/ice judgement. That is undermining the skip and causing her own confidence to plumet with the net effect being they'll continue to lose matches.

Watching :SCO match and the team dynamic is just bizarre - Morrison has completely lost control of her team.

You'd think after taking a 3 in the 8th, they'd be pretty buoyant. But Morrison called a shot, the other 3 disagreed so they called a time-out. Morrison didn't even speak during the time-out. The coach eventually favoured Morrison's original call and then they made a total hash of the shot. :hairpull:

Maybe, but they’re not one of the favoured teams. Form can change between now and Milano-Cortina 2026 obviously, but right now Sweden, Canada, Japan, Korea, Switzerland, and potentially United States (could switch with Italy) would all be favoured over them. After those seven teams Denmark and Norway would be the only other teams that have a chance although those are long shots at the moment (Rørvik’s silver last year was a fluke IMO)

well, given the results of the European champs and of this world champ, :SWE is already well behind :ITA (they're 0-3 in 2 tournaments this year) :p

but of course you're right...many things will happen from here to 2026...way too early to say something "serious" ;)

Scotland beating Switzerland has to be the biggest upset of the event by far.

I'd argue it just feels like that because of how badly :SCO have been playing - I think their defeat to :NZL was a bigger upset
