We get an interview with Donovan Bailey on CBC.  I'll take that.  I could watch his 1996 races on a loop for hours.

But what does he have to say about swimming? :d

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

It's always slow at the Olympics.

I know, but this time it seems even worse than ever. It's so annoying :p

Love to know what's happened to German and Dutch swimming? Big powerhouses failing to deliver. Is it a generational thing? Also expected a lot more from 2nd best swimming nation in history Australia. Although not all is lost with them. As for GB, way too many 4ths you'd think.

No idea about Germany, but in the Dutch swimming federation everything is a huge mess. I don't know the details but there's a whole lot of shit going on in there coming for a huge part from Joop Alberda, the main guy responsible for Dutch swimming in the past years (who turned it into a big pile of horse manure and then resigned a couple weeks ago).

I hope these Olympics in swimming are good for us in the sense that the swimming federation will undergo a huge clean-up after Rio. That would be very much needed.

Apart from that, the entire team is acting "weird" in interviews. Like they don't really care or something, or like they want to say things that they know they shouldn't say on camera.

That's a real shame. But yes sometimes these disasters are needed to have a brainstorm and rethink ideas. If they have a successful 2020, they can look back as a watershed moment.
