    It has really only been the last few weeks we came anywhere near the 2nd quotum. The fact we had 3 riders in the semi final at Worlds this weekend certainly helped.

    Athlete quotas can vary wildly in rowing depending on which boat qualifies. Here are the biggest winners and losers by number of boats vs. 2020 (ignoring Belarus/Russia). Winners +3 boats +3 boats +2 boats +2 boats +2 boats +2 boats Losers -8 boats -4 boats -3 boats -2 boats (might get tripartite quota) Everyone else either gained or lost one boat or had no change.

    That makes more sense to award the East Asian quotas now. This means that the men's singles world rankings will have 10 quotas (plus athletes who are also qualified in the mixed doubles).
