  1. Not exactly front of the line, but at least the Chinese male snowboard cross athletes are somewhat competitive, unlike their skiing counterparts Not as much good news for the women though.
  2. Is anyone able to find the apparent change that has been made, due to COVID-19, about the FIS points system? Apparently it's no longer about the best five results in the past 12 months, but the past 24 months, which has quite significant impacts in certain situations.
  3. The tests won't be a problem, for example Bruna had more tests than races in the past year The accomodation though, that's going to be an interesting thing...generally they rent appartments and don't stay in hotels, let's see if that'll work out. I'll tag @brunamoura here just so she can read things directly here and try and stay updated. The federation will probably go with the "Ah it won't be a problem, so we don't need to check" mentality, so better make sure someone keeps an eye on it
  4. The cross-country FIS races should fall under the 'International competitions organized by the International Sports Federation', I would assume? Although that's in four weeks from now, so who knows what happens until then.
  5. Only two months or so after the election. We, the Dutch, see that as rushing!
  6. Qualifiers are done for the first ski cross World Cup of the season in a secret garden in China, the local wildcards didn't really make much of a dent as of yet...
  7. The season is about to start and China has annexed parts of Russia.
  8. Horrible indeed Also yet another reason why I've got so much respect for first responders of any kind, imagine being a firefighter, police officer, medic or whatever and walking into a horror scene like this...how they are able to put it aside for a second and actually help, I don't know.
  9. The whole Russian team seems unlikely to make it to the US due to their vaccination status (Sputnik V). That would be outright stupid by whichever Russian authorities decided to give international athletes a vaccine which is not as widely recognized as others... Once again, it seems that Russian athletes are screwed by their own authorities
  10. I don't always agree with him, but in this case he is absolutely right. Call them for what they are instead of pretending they're worth some nicer term.
  11. Hamilton is probably the favourite in both races indeed, but it's definitely not a done deal yet. Maybe for basically the first time this year, a tiny bit of luck will fall the way of Verstappen instead of Hamilton Jeddah does seem like a track where a small mistake can be the end of your race (or qualifying), and so far, Hamilton has definitely been the more inconsistent driver this year. Besides, he does still need to catch up. We'll see, at least it's already historical to simply have the fact that a Dutchman could take the freaking world title (!) in the next race
  12. I love it when these athletes pick names which really identify themselves. You know, something truly unique to who they are. Something that defines them, that makes you see the name and think "Ah, Lee!".
  13. At least it was kind of interesting at times behind the top-2 Alonso! We've also now reached the situation where the championship can be decided in the very next race. If Verstappen wins it and Hamilton does not get a top-6 finish, or if Verstappen finishes second and Hamilton does not score, the championship is over. Neither are likely, but on a street circuit...weirder things have happened.
  14. And consequently, if a bronze is not enough to be tagged, yet roughly twenty nations are tagged and so must have given at least 11 points, how come Denmark didn't win?! RECOUNT THE VOTES!
  15. You must be joking, right? Feeling a strong bestmen parody vibe here
  16. @hckošice Martina Dubovska lives in Slovakia?
  17. Has it always been Serbia 12, Romania 11? I used to swear it was always Romania 12
  18. I would suggest starting from zero (before today's first posted vote) and ending it right now
  19. From Switzerland has always been problematic indeed, but I swear I used to see these videos from Austria without issue Oh well, no use in writing something about it then if there's no video, saves me some time
  20. Are videos of yesterday's winning runs available anywhere? Can't see it on FIS's YouTube or Twitter channels....it's as if for whatever reason they decided not to show anything anymore after the competitions..
  21. Does anyone else have issues with hotkeys not working? Like simply pressing the arrow to the right for skipping 10 seconds.
  22. Yeah, how obvious can it be? The only thing missing is that she's wearing some orange prison jumpsuit and saying "Hello, my name is Peng Shuai and I want to tell everyone I am doing perfect and there is nothing going on and everything I said earlier was actually a lie Please stop looking for me, I am super well, I just don't want to compete ever again so I will stay away Also, there are no tanks in Baghdad, everything is fine "
  23. That's coming from specifically my area of the country (the Veluwe, TISC host area): 'Veluwse Zwienenkeutels'.....'Veluwe Pig Droppings', literally translated
