  1. Thank you If you plan to do this every day, maybe you could edit your fist post on page 1 of this thread, it will be easier to track it down.
  2. (no idea why)
  3. Didn't expect to see a full pool for life saving, neither foreigner flags. These games are not as low profiles as i thought
  4. Bardet wanted to attack at Plan Lachat, 4 kms before he actually did but was discouraged by his DS...
  5. Men's water polo is allready a fringe olympic sport in my book just hanging there mostly for historic reasons. But at the very least, it means something in a few countries (former yugoslavian ones, Hungary, Italy to an extent ...) Judging by some of you sport news websites, there is little evidence that women's water polo means anything to anyone in your country outisde of the olympics. Ps: you guys are really into darts
  6. Not when it comes to collective sports (and their quotas drain), every olympic collective sport do maintain at least some kind of public interest between olympics in some countries except for women's waterpolo. If you were to judge every other sports according to women's water polo criterias, you could easely double, if not triple the amount of collective sports at the olympics (men's rink hockey, roller hockey, flag football, the frisbee thing, netball (womens only obv.) etc.)
  7. If your 14th best team (last world championship ranking) is losing 17-2 against anyone, your sport has no business beeing an olympic sport. Period. Women's water polo is only there because of "gender equity" policy, not because of sports. Besides, lack of compettive teams is one thing, lack of public nterest and pathetic low playing numbers even from competitive countries is another thing.
  8. Even if nothing happens, GC leaders will have to race today at 100%. No extra rest before the two alps stages
  9. Such densiity. Trully a sport worthy of the olympics.
  10. Ah ah, I've thought that any dutch fan would support Sunweb for bringing a duch GT winner for the first time in decades. Anyway, the more racing, the better
  11. According to a french journalist inside the peloton : Sunweb do seek to have Kittel out of the race today They will need ~50 minutes for that
  12. i'll go with 'where is my petrol gone' team. Anyway, maybe Aru was simply not that well today: Edit: sooooo late
  13. There is no such a thing as 'Astana". Crazy (and a bit sad) that today's stage creates more gap between GC riders than yesterday's one...
  14. He is only funny when you're in front of the TV, not when you're interviewed by him
  15. Maxime who ? Not a single win since the Bayern RundFahrt ... in 2010 . Such fun, such palmares.
  16. It's not really Meintjes' fault (or any similar rider), he is not the one calling the shots. DS do and they do according to the World Tour and its points distribution. As long a top 10 Tour finish will award as much points as TWO stages wins, it is not going to change anytime soon. IMO, the World Tour is one of the major (if not the major) for the lack of spectacle these days in cycling. PS: yes, that's from cyclingnews
  17. I think we 've allready passed that. London didn't end with any white elephant (I think ?). Neither Paris or LA plan to buid munch outside of temporary venues. Sochi has been the majour outliner in recent history. But I think, overall, organizers tend to be more modest with their constructions plans.. Building costs are only a fraction of the overall costs anyway.
  18. You're freaking Brazil, at home, in front of a 30 or 40K home crowd. We're freaking no one. Don't act as if you were not the big favorite
  19. Last second goal Elite div here we come
  20. Ah I see, you know your french hockey history quite well . Yeah, the split was a blessing not in disguise. It was very much needed, and turn out to be very succesfull (note to any italian hockey fans reading that, do it, trus us for once, it does work). I'm usually very, very critical when it comes to how sports federations work in this country, but the FFHG has mostly been a very welcomed nice exception.
  21. I could ask any of my friend that currently lives in Paris and who are not into sports and I'm pretty certain they wouldn't know that the thing is coming in just a few weeks. I don't think the general audience will care, the small - but growing - hockey fan base will turn in, no doubt about that, the level of awareness among the general sport audience will grow a lot (myself included :p). But i think the general public will mostly don't bother. BTW, I still think the federation has done an goob job trying to promote the event to a more general audeince (considering its size and where the sport stands in the country at the moment), We had the Astérix thing, the temporary rinks thing at the eiffel tower and the Paris City Hall, they managed to reach a very large panel of national sport figures, etc. BUT, we are coming from a very long way (from pretty much nowhere actually). Babysteps. Being in full political campaign doesn't help either PS: 1-0 PS2: fuck.
