It's been a long time since I commented about the World Cup series. With and out of the picture, we now have twenty nations with medals at the World Cup/World Challenge Cup circuit. This is unprecedented! And there's still one stage to go where will host and, in history, Romania has always won medals on home soil. We shall see. The biggest surprises after my last post were: 1) Gold medal for , a country which had never earned medals before. And they got a bronze medal too. 2) Bronze medal for . This was only our second medal at the World Cup series in 39 years. 3) A bronze medal for , something I thought would not be possible even in one million years. Amazing achievement! This is even more unexpected than my previous take for "most unexpected medal at the World Cup series", the one for in 2018.
