  1. Technically, are also in it, but are taking a sabbatical...
  2. Anyways, here is hoping for an exciting Grand Final (but expecting one or two runaway songs).
  3. Team Challenge 6. (a) Each edition of the Totallympics International Song Contest will feature a Team Challenge competition. The main purpose of this team element is to further enhance the community spirit that is an integral feature of TISC events and to provide another means of encouraging users to interact with one another. Looking ahead to the Tokyo Olympics, for this edition we felt it would be fitting to base the Team Challenge around an elimination bracket tournament format. Team Challenge will consist of four (4) different stages: Seeding Round Quarterfinals Semifinals + Repechage Finals Each new stage will start with the team totals set at zero (0) points. The teams totals will be calculated by adding up scores of its four (4) members. Since Torun Gingerbreads have five (5) members, their lowest score of the stage will be discarded. Seeding Round: Votes 1-9 1st to 8th -> Quarterfinals, 9th -> Repechage Quarterfinals: Votes 10-18 Teams are seeded in accordance with the seeding results. Winners -> Semifinals, Losers -> Repechage Semifinals + Repechage: Votes 20-28 Semifinals: Winners -> Gold Medal Match, Losers -> Bronze Medal Match Repechage: 1st -> Bronze Medal Match, 2nd to 5th -> OUT Finals: Votes 29-37 Gold Medal Match will consist of two teams (SF Winners). Bronze Medal Match will consist of three teams (SF Losers + Repechage Winner). Template for the Seeding Round... TEAM CHALLENGE - SEEDING ROUND (VOTES 1-9) TEAM MEMBERS TOTAL Toruń Gingerbreads 0 0 0 0 0 (0) Hel Grey Seals - 0 0 0 0 0 Malbork Knights - 0 0 0 0 0 Masurian White Storks - 0 0 0 0 0 Leszno Speedway Racers - 0 0 0 0 0 Drawno Otters - 0 0 0 0 0 Tatra Chamois - 0 0 0 0 0 Podlasie Bisons - 0 0 0 0 0 Baltic Cods - 0 0 0 0 0 Qualification rule: 1st to 8th -> Quarterfinals, 9th -> Repechage And for the elimination stage...
  4. Detailed rules for the Team Challenge will be unveiled tomorrow (early) morning. Basically, it will be an elimination bracket tournament with some added twists.
  5. Not a great fan of football, but I watched this one live and it is impossible to forget... C: Marco Materazzi
  6. Shout-out to @Werloc who responded that time to @bestmen with this song. Everything else is history.
  7. Now I know how Matt felt.
  8. Hey, I think you can eliminate B at once. Timok, Yantra, Jiu sound nothing like 'East of Oder' rivers. I would confidently exclude A too. This leaves Star Wars species and Zen rituals. I hardly know a thing about the Star Wars, and even less so about Zen rituals. Still, I would pick D I guess, because all these words sound extremely unfamiliar.
  9. Hope I am not the only one who found out just now that Chopin is not French.
  10. Yap, this song randomly appeared on the radio today as well. Randomly because I can't even remember the last time it was on.
  11. It's worth mentioning that FEI could again change the minimum eligibility requirements, following the EHV-1 event cancellations. Feasibly, they may allow everyone with MER to their name, irregardless of the date when it was achieved (this however would not include the likes of Mirza and Khan).
  12. Yeah, you don't often witness a team receiving a reallocation after losing their quota due to a doping case. Ukraine needs one of these... But like I said, they are not very active. And when they do compete, it's mostly at CSI2* level, which is not even a qualifying competition...
  13. No idea, but they are not very active. It's possible their mercenaries are just not interested. I guess so? If they don't, then Hungary is next in line, followed by Canada. No chance for Poland.
  14. Oh boy. Usman Khan had a meltdown in dressage (of all phases) and will not be going home with the MER this weekend. Needed to score 45.0 or lower. https://www.nominate.com.au/equest/nsw/results/WH0421/DR_2104_CCI4-S.html It's not over yet. He still has exactly one attempt left at both CCI4*-S (either Sydney, Tamborine or Naracoorte in May) and CCI4*-L (Melbourne in June).
  15. Meanwhile, our sailors are having pretty average European Championships. That's great news. Maybe they will save their apex for when it counts. For once.
  16. Which is a shame, since Finn sailors are significantly taller and heavier than those competing in Laser... Unless Laser changes design, they will be left with no option other than two person boats.
  17. True, but that's how IOC operates these days. "Women are not treated as equals in sailing" can make headlines, "Specific group of male sailors lose their Olympic event" never will.
  18. Again nobody going for the Netherlands? Guys, 46 medals don't come out of nowhere.
  19. Oh well. This history card does not work for me in sailing. We are not using cars designed in 1952 anymore.
  20. Dutchland obviously. Sweden is missing here, though.
