  1. The fact that so many of these governing bodies don’t release official statements or explanations is creating so much confusion and controversy. What a farce it would be for them to invite Ireland and Switzerland and then to rescind the invitation. And if they haven’t explained to the Greek federation the reasons for their exclusion, that is really poor from their communications department. What is going on? That is what everyone wants to know, not least the athletes involved and only FINA can explain that.
  2. Michaela Walsh has qualified to Tokyo! So glad for her Her brother has a chance to qualify later this afternoon.
  3. Thanks a million for the quiz, it was a lot of fun
  4. And the Japanese quota determines if qualifies?
  5. Eeny meeny miny mo.... let's go for Leopold the Glorious who suffered an inglorious death on the Saleph river
  6. I always thought I would take a gamble because it's not money and just points but at the same time I haven't a single clue about it. It could be any of them as far as I'm concerned . I think I will take my points . If I had any sort of grounding I would pick one but I don't. So final answer, taking the points
  7. Right, the car is now on fire at the side of the track and I can either try to push it over the line in a hope of a win or retire gracefully lol.
  8. Yep, i thought about nectar for A and necro for D as in relating to dead things. I was veering away from C.
  9. Great question!
  10. Yayyyyy!!! I did think about plankton but then I decided it had nothing to do with whales and sharks .
  11. I am going to play. I think C is a con to make me think it sounds like electron, proton, neutron, etc because I have never heard of it. And I can't think what it relates to whales and sharks but hey-ho, let's go with that. B: final answer. I am dreading the backlash now if it does turn out to be anodes and cathodes
  12. Ok, now one of the wheels has come off and I'm swerving into the gravel . I have never heard of nekton. Can I have a 50:50 please?
  13. That is B: Thorin Oakenshield, final answer!
  14. Woohoo!! I made it to the awesome music part
  15. Yes, that is my final answer.
  16. That's more like it . That is definitely D: Rhode Island, with Providence being the capital of the state also.
  17. I feel like the wheels are coming loose
  18. That's no problem. C and D were the 2 I was thinking are least likely and since athletes usually have numbers already, I thought numbers would be too confusing also. But I can't be sure that any of the options are incorrect so I have to skip this question and ask for another. Can I use my second lifeline?
  19. @Olympian1010 I am hoping you know this one as I know you watch Winter sports If you are not 100% sure let me know but I would like your thoughts anyway.
  20. I have no idea on this one at all, I am veering towards 2 answers, but want to hear from @Olympian1010 on this one
  21. That's without a doubt, A: Hamlets, final answer.
  22. I have never tried it but I am pretty sure that's silken. I'll take that as my final answer, C.
  23. I am certain of this as well, that is called the Great Conjunction. B final answer
  24. That is B: Religion, final answer.
  25. She kissed a girl and liked it. Therefore I am obliged to select B: Girl as my final answer.
