Basically the same sport except for a couple of minor rules (smaller ball being one) However the GAA (main governing body for those wondering) is for men’s Gaelic football and men’s hurling only. The “Ladies Gaelic Football Association” is the governing body for women’s Gaelic football and Camogie is run by the “Camogie Association”. There have been moves recently for the women’s sports to be brought into the main GAA organisation In practice clubs and county boards don’t separate them but it’s a bit of a political issue now

Yesterday was the first time had ever won gold at this event. 2 silver and 7 bronze before this year. 2019 was the only other year where 2 different Irish swimmers won medals (2 bronze). Matched that on day one. We'll add more medals too (if not more medalists)
