OK figured out the swimming team Individuals with OQT Fannon Wiffen McSharry Walshe Hill Individual with OCT Ferguson Relay only Ryan Greene McCusker Catterson O’Riordan Davison one of the 3 women there will swim both relays (as will Hill)

Swim Ireland are announcing their team now. They’re sending medley relays for men and women AND a 4x100 freestyle women. So Japan must have refused that quota

The flip of that is there are loads here who complain about “free” quotas for Australia

One down for the women’s 1500m. Might indicate Sweden aren’t taking the ranking spots

Effectively, yes. They remove all those who refuse a quote (for whatever reason) and then work their way down the rankings. Those below the line have to indicate if they’re willing/able to accept it so there isn’t a third round of allocations.

I would think it particularly disgraceful to see a home nation refuse quotas

In rowing, the women’s lightweight double are my lock of all locks. Can’t see any way they’re beaten outside of injury will add more later but they’re the first that came to mind

If it helps anyone’s internal calculation will not be taking quotas (earned by entry standard) in the women’s 200m and the women’s 800m (Athletes will concentrate on one event only)

Not that I agree with their policies, but I think it’s more a case of federations wanting to focus all their resources (coaches, training camps, masseuses, back up admin staff etc etc) on those with chances of medals and finals than spreading them out to athletes without any hope of progression There’s obviously a dollar/euro/pound cost involved, but the countries who set extra barriers to Olympic qualification are generally quite wealthy so I don’t think that’s the overriding issue (even if they claim it is)

They’ve only included the times. They update the rankings on Wednesday and Brand of Switzerland earned enough points to overtake Tom. That’ll be confirmed on Wednesday

The Swiss guy overtook Barr too so she’s out, unless there’s pull outs. Becker still on the bubble Tuthill and Favor OK
