There’s plenty of speculation in that post and I’m not going to argue point by point I’ll just say specifically on Moorhouse, she’s had 9 fights against non Irish women in the last year and lost 4 of them. I’m not saying she has no chance, but she needs a very good draw. I hope they all get OK draws and way more than I think get through FWIW I don’t think Aidan Walsh will go to Thailand. Just a bunch

To be fair I’ll repeat a post from earlier in the thread. Not one single judge saw this fight the same way in all three rounds. I simply can’t see how anyone gave the 2nd round to the Polish women but 3 did, and that was the difference

As an example of how difficult judging is. Theres 5 judges here and not one of them are the same for all 3 rounds. I hope they ditch 10-9 as soon as possible

99% of the times Irish boxers lose, Irish fans claim a robbery too. It’s nearly always nonsense. Of course there have been robberies, and because of that others latch on. The worst I ever seen was Anthony Joshua over the Cuban in 2012 for example. It’s the same as football fans blaming the ref every time they lose though. The odd time they’re right, they’re mostly wrong

Refs don’t give any scores. Judges do. It’s a very hard sport to judge, and generally they do a good job. The majority of people watching on TV have no idea what they’re looking at. It most certainly isn’t random. 10 points for winning a round take all the drama out of most 3rd rounds. That’s the biggest issue. That and a warning being too big of a punishment. Maybe if some countries have the balls to leave the IBA the sport can revert back to point per blow scoring and stop trying to compete with the pro ranks. 99% of “robbery” calls are just sore losers whinging IMO
