  1. ^Good. These two worlds should be kept apart.
  2. @Wanderer shouldn't I have 19 points from today? I predicted AUS by 7 and ENG by 1, AUS won by 11 and ENG by 2, so 8 + 11=19 points
  3. I think that France (despite being ranked lower than China) has the quality of a top 10 team. It's not impossible for China to win but I have a hard time seeing that happening.
  4. Good for England to finally be able to show a bit of their quality. Ireland can only blame themselves for not beating a regional China side. BTW France has now a GREAT chance to make QFs and climb several places in the rankings, which will in turn help them with the seeding for the olympic play-offs, if they make it via FIH Hockey series.
  5. I was kinda at the edge of my seat during the final minutes as I had predicted +7 GD for Australia, if they scored the 12th I'd have been left with only the basic correct result points in prediction
  6. I'm old and so out of touch with whatever is played these days (god of what? Red dead what?) or whoever are these sonicwho and ninja guys that 9 year old kids idolize. Only "new" thing I still follow are the indie games, because they are often old fashioned, so the only thing that I'm happy about from these awards is that award for the beautiful Celeste game which has all I can possibly need from a game
  7. Well, fortunately in the other group Philippines has still to play weak KAZ & QAT. JPN has QAT as well but tough away match with IRN. I would say both can reach 7 victories and "beat" the other pool 4th (5th?) placer. I really hope we don't see both of those garbage teams qualifying. At the very least I don't see Jordan winning both matches and ending with 7-5 record.
  8. Nothing too weird that I can remember now. There are dishes made with almost every part of the cow, pork, chicken, etc but I guess that is common to many other countries. Nothing with unusual animals like insects or frogs. At least not in the region where I live which would be where the "mainstream" argentine cuisine is dominant (maybe a tribe in the north eats insects but I have no idea).
  9. I got that one seems like throwing random draws around is the key to perform here. Unlike Handball or Rugby they are more common, but still not as common as in football for example, so people aren't that willing to predict them (also the "goal difference-based" points system doesn't favor the users to predict them I think, it always looks "safer" to choose a winner).
  10. [hide] Main Round December 6th - December 12th, 2018 12 Nations, 2 Groups, the 1st and 2nd Nations from each Group will qualify for the Semifinals Group I Date & Time (GMT +1) Nation 1 T1 T2 Nation 2 December 6th 2018, h. 18:00 Denmark 3 France December 6th 2018, h. 21:00 Sweden 1 Montenegro December 8th 2018, h. 15:00 Sweden 4 France December 8th 2018, h. 18:00 Serbia 4 Russia December 10th 2018, h. 18:00 Denmark 1 Russia December 10th 2018, h. 21:00 Serbia 1 Montenegro December 12th 2018, h. 15:45 Denmark 4 Montenegro December 12th 2018, h. 18:00 Sweden 1 Russia December 12th 2018, h. 21:00 Serbia 7 France Group II Date & Time (GMT +1) Nation 1 T1 T2 Nation 2 December 7th 2018, h. 18:00 Spain 2 Germany December 7th 2018, h. 21:00 Hungary 1 Norway December 9th 2018, h. 15:00 Hungary 2 Germany December 9th 2018, h. 18:00 Netherlands 1 Romania December 11th 2018, h. 18:00 Spain 4 Romania December 11th 2018, h. 21:00 Netherlands 1 Norway December 12th 2018, h. 15:45 Spain 3 Norway December 12th 2018, h. 18:00 Hungary 1 Romania December 12th 2018, h. 21:00 Netherlands 2 Germany [/hide]
  11. Ady basically won the contest already. 20 points difference is impossible to comeback unless he misses, like, almost every winner in the knockouts and we guess all of them. I think he even predicted England-China draw?, that's just bananas haha
  12. France advances to R16! I knew they had it in them. Our younger players played many minutes and some of them are terrible so I'm not completely surprised with the result. Spain didn't deserve to go out, they were much better comparatively than NZ in all matches.
  13. The thing is most hockey tournaments are hosted in a single stadium, so there isn't really any room for that. Only exceptions I can think of were 2014 WC in Hague and the last olympics, they had two fields but still there weren't simultaneous games.
  14. It's just two good teams that won't qualify though... You make it seem like USA, Spain, Lithuania, etc failed too.
  15. Many people are criticizing this but for me is great news: after yet another disappointing year the women's hockey team will change coach and the "god of hockey" a.k.a. "chapa" Retegui will take over the team again hopefully this will be the end of all bullshit going on in this team and we can dream with medals once more.
  16. The best ever performance from non european team is a 8th place of Japan in women's. In men's the best are some 11th places by USA and Canada.
  17. Yes, but from one continent?? This is even worse than handball.
  18. lol even inline hockey or indoor field hockey are more competitive and diverse compared to this.
  19. FIH should really change the schedule of the next matches. On the other hand failing to beat China is embarassing for both ENG & IRL.
  20. Canada should have won, they are the better team. Now they will probably go home winless, even if they get through the pool. India disappointed me a bit. This was their opportunity to make an statement but they can never hold the lead in an important match. They will be 1st in the pool but they still will have to play NED or GER in QFs which will be a test.
  21. Montenegro will have a good chance to qualify in that group A.
  22. They didn't refuse, they just sent a complaint letter. News outlets are just putting sensationalist titles. At the end both teams will have to swallow it up and play it there.
  23. They usually concede lots of goals against european teams so it's not shocking to me. I predicted 5 goal difference Anyway they came here to play Pakistan and try to get a result there.
  24. England is just terrible how can you tie with China?
  25. The copa libertadores final return leg will be played in Madrid (Santiago Bernabéu Stadium) on December 9th.
