  1. I don't know what you're talking about, The Simpsons ended like 20 years ago.
  2. What happens if Rhode or Connor end 1st place in skeet women?
  3. It's more of a danger for your women's team since they won't have any significant competition until then, while potential play-off opponents like China or USA will be in pro league gaining experience and good ranking points for the seeding.
  4. No, anyone that reads the format closely will arrive to this same conclusion: it makes absolutely no difference. Both indian teams have a high ranking so there's almost no chance they won't qualify for the olympic play-offs. Even if both teams finish last place in this hockey series they will still reach the play-offs 99% sure because there are some remaining spots that will be given by ranking. So hockey series doesn't matter for India. The only actual difference is that while waiting for the play-offs your teams will be "warming up" with the likes of Mexico, Poland or Fiji instead of Netherlands, Germany or Australia if they were in the pro league....
  5. Draw for the final round was done. (Still two teams from Africa TBD). Host of each tournament is the first flag. Top two in each will advance to olympic qualification play-offs (don't ask me what are Japan and Scotland/Wales doing here...). Tournament 1 + 1 TBD Tournament 2 Tournament 3 + 1 TBD
  6. Draw for the final round was done. Still 3 teams (two from Africa and one from Asia TBD). Host of each tournament is the first flag. Top two in each will advance to olympic qualification play-offs (don't ask me what are Japan and Scotland/Wales doing here...). Tournament 1 Tournament 2 + 1 team TBD Tournament 3 + 2 TBD
  7. "gaydar" gaydarov? Sorry it's sounds like a joke straight out that "meet the parents" movie.
  8. So far the voting for me... Two songs well above all the others in my taste (like WAY above, an entire different league), then 9 that are about the same and I need 1 more to fill the 12 (and will have to grasp at straws to pick 2 reserves...).

  14. Fair. I think futsal (or anything similar to football really) sublimates passions. I don't know about every venue, but with the only brazilian I saw in competition live (the boxer with dreadlocks that won a medal) received mostly indifferent support (not much rooting for or against, though there were a bunch of brazilians very loudly supporting him). But then, as you said, the public here was different. Many kids from schools, families from humble neighbourhoods, etc.
  15. That's only one sport, tame compared to rio 2016 with the crowds shouting "E-LI-MI-NA-DO" to every argentinian athlete that lost, even the random tennis player ranked 60
  16. Well done Egypt, incredible come back. The biggest difference for me however was the goalkeepers. Egyptian gk was extraordinary in the second half, ours terrible.
  17. Our goalie is incapable of stopping anything that goes in direction to the goal.
  18. Wonderful. This team evolved a lot in the last 3 matches.
  19. No idea, it's just a rumor for now. Maybe in the next few days there will be more details.
  20. I don't like the choice of city either, I think it should be Bariloche because it's a bigger city of the south and has better hotels, infrastructure for ski and other winter sports, etc. Ushuaia is too small even for this.
  21. Absolutely! Few people walking in the park and seeing many venues empty after their sports finished days ago felt a bit nostalgic to me already.
  22. Btw there are strong rumors that we will bid to host 2024 youth winter olympics in Ushuaia.
  23. My last day at the youth olympic park Today I was at boxing. Some pics of medal ceremonies, gold medalist Brian Arregui taking pictures with fans, gold medalist Panpatchara Somnuek and her crew, and the cauldron... which will sadly be extinguished tomorrow.
