  1. I give up, this tournament is impossible. I may as well have made random predictions everywhere and I would be earning more points. I don't remember any hockey competition like this, it's normally a very predictable sport.
  2. Archery: 0-1 (women individual) Artistic Swimming: 0 Athletics: 13-16 Badminton: 0 - only core sport Argentina has never qualified. Baseball: 0 Basketball: 0-12 (men, 50/50 chance) Beach Volleyball: 0-4 Boxing: 1-2 Canoeing - Slalom: 0-1 Canoeing - Sprint: 2-10 (for sure K1 200 and 1000 in men, I don't know if there is still continental quota for K4) Cycling - BMX: 1-2 (could be two men -difficult- or one each gender) Cycling - Mountain Bike: 0-1 (men) Cycling - Road: 1-3 (men) Cycling - Track: 0-1 (omnium if he improves, but most likely nothing) Diving: 0 - this sport is currently inexistent Equestrian: 1-4 maybe we can qualify the jumping team again. Fencing: 2-3 (by ranking in women sabre/men epee, maybe continental quota in Women epee) Field Hockey: 32 Football: 0-18 (men) Golf: 1-2 (men only) Gymnastics - Artistic: 2 (men&women individual) Gymnastics - Rhythmic: 0 Gymnastics - Trampoline: 0 Handball: 0-14 (maybe the men can qualify, 50/50 against Brazil) Judo: 1-2 (Paula Pareto and... maybe someone else) Karate: 0-1 (it's a long shot) Modern Pentathlon: 1-2 (women for sure, men maybe) Rowing: 2-8 (for sure the singles, maybe the lightweight doubles and maybe men double sculls if they can improve a bit) Rugby Sevens: 12 (men) Sailing: 11-13 (everything except the 470s -men with light chance-) Shooting: 4-5 (10m air rifle m&w, skeet m&w and maybe we can qualify someone in trap or 3 positions) Skateboarding: 0 - no idea, but I don't think we have much chance. Softball: 0 Sport Climbing: 0 - no idea, we have good young climber girl for YOG but don't think she will have level to qualify for Tokyo. Surfing: 0 Swimming: 7-10 (women breastroke 100 and 200, women freestyle all except 100, men freestyle 50, 100, 200, women medley 200, 400, men butterfly 100, 200, open water women) Table Tennis: 0-1 (maybe one men) Taekwondo: 0-1 (maybe Lucas Guzmán can qualify this time) Tennis: 4 (full men team, no women) Triathlon: 1-2 Volleyball: 12-24 (men certainly and women depending on Brazil mostly) Water Polo: 0 Weightlifting: 0 - we're pathetic Wrestling: 1 - Bermúdez again in W freestyle. 3. Tokyo Qualification Events have already begun and this year we have many of them. Earlier we had a thread about Early Team Sports Qualification Predictions, but now with little less than two years to the beginning of the Games, it's time to open thread for official qualification predictions. 5. Really? That's the reason we're waiting?? Can I just open it?
  6. Is a "qualification predictions" thread ever gonna be opened?
  7. Football, Handball, Hockey, Volleyball and lately i'm taking a liking to Fencing.
  8. Solid 5th place of our team smashing USA in their turf. Too bad we had to play Fiji in QF. Fiji and South Africa are the only teams we can never beat.
  9. Lol korea changed goalkeeper in the first quarter but it made no difference. I found out their keepers have only 6 and 5 international caps respectively that's an insane choice from their coach, no wonder these girls can't stop any shot.
  10. Oops now it's 6-0, all this in 7 shots on goal
  11. The dutch girls probably watched the Argentina match and got more motivated to score today... 5-0 to Korea in first quarter.
  12. I see there is no thread for this year WCh in results site, can someone link me to wherever I can see the tableau(s)?
  13. Yes, she has some ancestry. Though I think if she were actually lithuanian her surname would change to a female form.
  14. I wasn't really expecting such result but China and Korea are weaker than years ago so not impossible for Italy. Some upsets so far.
  15. OK, day 1 thoughts: -Germany and Australia winning as expected. -England, from what I read in media (because I can't watch, geoblock) and looking at statistics (shots 15-4, PCs 9-0), deserved more. It's disappointing to start your home WC with a tie, but I don't think it will matter much, I see them winning the two next games handily. -USA losing to Ireland is surprising but not unthinkable. The US team had many retirements after the OG and they are a much weaker team now. I was cautious in my predictions (I gave them +1 victories vs Ireland and India), but I won't be surprised if they go out in 3 games. Tomorrow: The big candidate Netherlands starts (easy group with 3 weak teams) and also the start for Argentina and Argentina B (Italy, 10/18 players argentinian). Also, Belgium-New Zealand will be interesting, Belgium has a bit of dark horse potential.
  16. You forget that also in those games India lost 6-0 the bronze medal match to England...
  17. I would like to watch but the tv that has rights here will only show Argentina games and FIH doesn't livestream anything in youtube anymore.
  18. Wtf is this format? Our team gets Fiji in QF if they pass Canada... goodbye.
  19. 14th place for me after a disaster start near the bottom isn't bad (i'm usually bad in football prediction that isn't copa america). Now the event we have been waiting for, Hockey World Cup (?)
  20. He reminded me to our keeper (Armani) against France: not close to saving the penalty, energy-less reaction in the long distance shots... And Lloris reminded me of Caballero haha
  21. She even gave awkward hug to the referee.
  22. France has done barely anything in 60 mins and they already 3-1 up.
  23. Lmao there are like 10000 stewards in the stadium today and there still are pitch invaders.
