  5. 4th for Mind you Blouin has had a very tough season, with no podiums, so this is a very good result for her. Very consistent today as well with both of her runs in the low 70s and low 60s.
  6. go Blouin!!
  7. Alpine skiing, sure. But for the other winter sports, I have to say I’m surprised. I didn’t know that you watched bobsleigh/ski jumping/ski & snowboard cross

  11. Wheelchair rugby team qualifies for the Paralympics after defeating Germany 58-41 in the semifinals of the Wheelchair Rugby Paralympic Qualifying Tournament!
  12. Gold, silver and bronze on Day 1 of the the season-ending WC in Idre Fjall! Brittany Phelan and India Sherret win gold and silver in the women’s event, while Reece Howden wins bronze in the men’s event. In terms of Crystal Globes, Marielle Thompson is pretty much guaranteed on the women’s side, while Reece Howden will be relying on Mobaerg and Fiva to bow out early.
  13. First podium of the season for Canada in the season-finale, as Cynthia Appiah wins women’s monobob bronze at the Lake Placid WC!
  14. Really tight race for the Pan American continental quotas in men’s doubles/women’s doubles/mixed doubles. I’m not feeling too confident about eventually securing a quota in any, even if we’re probably the top nation in Pan American badminton at the moment.
  15. 16. Draw 20 Results 8 - 6 8 - 10 9 - 3 5 - 6
  17. 9-2 win over New Zealand, and a 9-4 win over Estonia yesterday. Today an 8-2 win over Scotland to lock up first in the group, and a 5-6 loss to South Korea. Up next, the semifinals where we’ll play either Sweden or South Korea/Italy (Italy’s game against Japan still isn’t over, if they win it’ll be South Korea otherwise it’ll be Italy) Edit: Italy wins in an extra end which means we’re in the same half as South Korea…
  18. No perfect round robin for as defeats us 6-5 And that’s also an end to Team Homan’s win streak of 25 consecutive games won. Shame, but all streaks have to come to an end (curling reference) eventually. At least it didn’t happen in the playoffs.
  19. Little bit of news from the junior ranks, as at the World Junior Snowboarding Championships in Lachtal, Austria, Aurelie Moisan wins gold in women’s parallel giant slalom!
  20. First stop is today and tomorrow (mixed relay only) in Soma Bay, Egypt. Will be live-streamed on the FINA YouTube channel (if it’s geo-blocked for you, try changing your VPN to Canada)
