  1. Einarson wins her 5th Scotties title, stealing the extra end to defeat Lawes 4-3! Classic Kerri Einarson swearing after that one, with the “FUCK YES”
  2. Heartbreak for Lawes, really wanted this one for her. With Homan preparing for the Olympics this was probably her best chance The closeup of her face after it was over, you can see every single bit of disappointment, after being undefeated this week at 10-0, losing the final is that much tougher to lose
  3. At this point if Lawes wins this match and qualifies for Worlds, you’d be crazy to have Peterman as the 5th and replace her with Walker, the level she’s played at this week is outstanding
  4. Einarson with a brilliant shot, angle raise against four for the single to send the game to the extra end That was special
  5. Einarson has a fairly routine double the double for the blank, but one of Lawes’ rocks just hangs on to the back of the 12-foot for the steal Lawes takes a 3-2 lead into the 8th!
  6. 93% for Einarson, you can always count on her to show up during a Scotties Lawes in the high 60s, I’d have to assume her takeout percentage is inflated by her first in the 4th with that double takeout (a much needed one, one of the only shots made all end long for them) but she really needs to step up (and so does her team) if they want to have a chance.
  7. 5th end now, Einarson leads Lawes 2-0 after a steal in 4. Very confusing call Lawes had said “Is it there” 4 times, had an easy draw to tie it up but decided to go for the raise takeout with barely any of the rock showing (they needed 2/3rds) for the deuce and wrecked on the guard. Lawes have been 20-2 since Trials! Undefeated here as well! Surprising given how badly this team has performed this Olympic quad
  8. Last bit of curling before the Olympics start, Scotties final is underway!
  9. If you have time would love to see a sport by sport overview of the changes/new sports

Now that we're a few hours out from Milano-Cortina starting with curling, just wanted to wish everyone the very best of luck at the Olympics! May you all have a memorable Olympics, whether it's a record setting medal haul, a medal, a good finish, a podium for your favourite athlete, participation, or the live experience of an Olympics for those of you that will be watching at the venues live. Already preparing myself by pre-stressing out about results, worrying about which of our athletes will disappoint (and depending on who it is, probably won't get over it for a while), but at the same time thinking of which of our athletes will achieve Olympic glory and podiums and the celebration that'll come with it (probably at least 10 "F*ck yeah's" or "let's f*cking go's" ), and the games haven't even started yet. Here we go!
  11. Guys, we are 3 days away! 3 more days until the moment we've all been waiting for, the Olympics. The same Olympics that not only has NHL players back for the first time since 2014* but more importantly the debut of our very own @brunamoura Can't f*cking wait!
  12. 11th for Cameron Alexander in downhill at the Crans Montana WC!
  13. skiers have really been performing well lately, peaking right in time for the Olympics
  14. Bronze for Courtney Charlong in the 1000m at the Junior World Championships
  15. Wide on one of the turns but not bad Alexander
  16. Second time watching alpine skiing this season surprised with how little I’ve watched this season
  17. Lukáš Cingel replaces Beijing 2022 captain Marek Hrivík for who is out with injury
  18. Sorry that was wrong Scotties update Lawes demolished Einarson in the 1/2 game to make the final, still undefeated Sturmay beat Black in the 3/4 game to advance to the semifinals against Einarson, winner to the final. Stevens and Peterson also made the playoffs, now on my radar for teams to watch for in the upcoming seasons.
