  2. You don’t think and have high chances at a medal? Especially the German, who is ahead of the Slovak athlete in the rankings from last season.

  7. I’m no expert on British athletes/sport, but as an avid watcher of a ton of sporting events (not saying you don’t), particularly curling and hockey so I have a few conflicting viewpoints here. In freestyle skiing, I think your predictions are good but I’d say 3 on the men’s side. Davies in ski cross, and Fenely and Jeannesson in moguls will probably qualify. In snowboarding, more specifically snowboard cross, I think Nightingale will qualify. FYI there’s no specific qualification pathway for mixed team, you just need to qualify one person per gender. In curling, I’d have to assume your opinion has changed since the European Championships? British women’s curling didn’t have the greatest of seasons in 2023-24. I personally think it’ll be close; Switzerland, Canada, Sweden, South Korea, United States, Japan (and Italy) for sure. Then a couple of Great Britain, Denmark, Norway, and maybe China or Turkey. As for hockey…. had to chuckle when I read that because sorry, but your men’s team had no chance at all, especially in the most stacked group of the tournament with both Denmark and Norway…
  8. Homan/Bottcher win the 2nd Olympic Mixed Doubles Trials Qualifier. A sigh of relief. Edit: Because they’re a new partnership they likely won’t qualify through CTRS points, so to have one of the best pairings in the world qualify here is huge.
  9. I mean it depends on the person, but yeah you’re right most of the time it doesn’t correlate to success during the actual World Cup circuit.
  10. I take it you haven’t been following along with the Summer Grand Prix? Frantz won bronze in Wisla back in September, not that surprising.
  11. Bronze for Dylan French in men’s epee at the Vancouver WC, his first career WC podium!
  12. Silver for Ivanie Blondin in the women’s mast start at the ISU Nagano World Cup! Looked visibly disappointed with the outcome.
  13. Bronze for Eleanor Harvey at the Vancouver Women’s Foil WC!
  14. In terms of total medals, yes. In terms of golds, I’d be fine with anywhere from 6-8. @intoronto you don’t think we’ll do better or at least the same? Bit surprising.
  15. Will share my first batch of predictions here when I have the time, now is a busy time for me though with a whole bunch of sports in full swing.
  16. Women Gold- Switzerland Silver- Sweden Bronze- Scotland Paetz was on fire today, nothing Sweden could do about it. Hasselborg actually said in her post game presser for Sweden that the team didn’t play that bad, which I’d agree with. Men Gold- Germany Silver- Scotland Bronze- Norway Germany is really starting to establish theirselves as a medal contender for the upcoming World Championships and Olympics. Between them, Scotland, Sweden, Canada, Italy, Switzerland, and maybe Norway/United States the battle for the medals will be exciting. Shocked to see no or in the playoffs Full Results
  17. 8-4 final, with taking the gold over Team Tirinzoni were on fire
  18. Anyone know where the Stubai qualification/finals will be live streamed? Preferably no VPN… I tried looking on the FIS Freestyle Skiing YouTube channel but nope.
  19. Time for the women’s gold medal match between and
  20. Schulting with a decent 8th in the 1000m in her long track WC debut.
  21. Gold for Ivanie Blondin in the women’s 3000m at the ISU Nagano World Cup! She did an interview with Olympics.ca this season, said she was in the form of her life. She really is, wow.
  22. More information has been released on the first edition of the World Athletics Ultimate Championships in 2026, including the events. Mixed 4x100m relay will make its global debut. https://x.com/worldathletics/status/1859915183071662442?s=46&t=_XjleMNZelg_AVmJy7FfWA
