  1. Tough draw for the single for Dunstone, Jacobs steals. 2-0 Jacobs, Dunstone with the hammer in 3
  2. Nice hit and roll from Dunstone on his last forces Jacobs to get a piece of the four foot for the single, and he converts. 1-0 Jacobs, Dunstone hammer in 2.
  3. Men’s final now underway, Jacobs with a 1-0 lead in a best of 3 over Dunstone and is looking for a ticket to the Olympics.
  4. Happy for the entire team, but I couldn’t be happier for Fleury. Still remember how last Olympic Trials went down, Fleury was 8-0 heading into the final, it was heartbreaking to see her lose it in an extra end to Jones. Usually it’s a once in a lifetime experience, so when you lose it there’s always that “what if” in your head, now she can put all of that behind. She deserves this
  5. And it’s all over Team Homan will represent at the Milano-Cortina Olympics! 12-3 final over Black in the best of three final.
  6. GOING TO THE OLYMPICS! Team Homan demolish Team Black 12-3 in game two of the best of three final after only eight ends and will wear the Team Canada jackets in Milano-Cortina, they’ve been the team to beat for years there’s no better representatives than them
  7. Black really light on the draw for two, settles for the single. 9-3 Homan, Homan with the hammer in 7.
  8. Yeah, still unfortunate for Black. I’m excited to see what they can do at the Scotties, wide open with Homan out, Einarson is the slight favourite but Black, Lawes, Skrlik, Sturmay could all win.
  9. Homan applying relentless pressure forces Black to get a good piece of the four foot with the draw against five to get the single. Slides too far, steal of two. 9-2 Homan, game pretty much over.
  10. Black attempted a runback for two but misses and gives up a steal 7-2 Homan, really closing in on an Olympic spot.
  11. Homan with a shot for four or five, and gets a huge 4 on the board. 6-2 Homan, Black with the hammer in 4
  12. In the end Black get two right back 2-2, Homan with the hammer in 3.
  13. So many missed shots for Homan this end… in a lot of trouble. These performances aren’t inspiring a lot of confidence in them even if they win.
  14. Homan opens up with a draw for the deuce. 2-0 Homan, Black with the hammer in 2.
  15. It’s time for game two of Homan-Black, Homan one win away from making it back to her third consecutive Olympic Games.
  16. Heo gold and Pigeon bronze in the men’s 500m, stunned
  17. Silver for William Dandjinou in the men’s 500m
  18. Women’s relay disappoints two weeks in a row… Well Kim Boutin isn’t here, she went back home to recover from an injury that’s been nagging at her since before the season, but even worse it looks like Flo injured her shoulder while falling down… hopefully nothing serious.
  19. 5th for Mel Lotholz, 10th for Kristen Bujnowski, and 14th for Cynthia Appiah at the Innsbruck WC! Lotholz putting together a very consistent season.
  20. Courtney Sarault wins the women’s 1000m at the Dordrecht WC!
  21. He ended up finishing 4th, not bad.
  22. I refuse to pay for a Curling Channel subscription (that and I’m a broke college student) so I couldn’t watch, but Hasselborg
  23. The WC start lists this season are a little bit weaker than previous seasons, I wonder if some are skipping these or at least some to get in some extra training.
  24. Big Air WC Secret Garden Women Gold- Mari Fukada (156.75) Silver- Reira Iwabuchi (145.75) Bronze- Miyabi Onitsuka (141.50) Men Gold- Su Yiming (174.50) Silver- Ge Chungyu (159.50) Bronze- Ryoma Kimata (158.50) You always know when the snowboard park and pipe season starts when you see a Japanese podium sweep (although here, the only one who could’ve challenged that is Coady, there’s no Sadowski-Synott, Brookes, Gasser etc) Full Results
  25. Crazy finish in the second women’s 1000m semifinal, Sarault passing Velzeboer for the lead and a three way battle for second.
