  3. Hüberli/Brunner announce the end of their partnership after 9 years together I love these girls, they were my second favourite women’s pairing after MHP/Wilkerson (and probably the only other women’s pairing I rooted for, besides Mader/Verge-Depre somewhat) so it’s such a shame to see them split. Brunner will take a break from beach volleyball and focus on starting a family (she still has that desire to return), while Hüberli will continue with a new partner. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DA0nWvZMmnq/?igsh=MXgxcHFvamt3OTc3Yw==
  4. Fernandez defeats Shnaider 6-7 (7), 6-3, 6-3 in the round of 64 at the Wuhan Open! Best win for Canadian tennis in at least a month I would think?
  5. Wish I could say the same, for me it’s rare when there’s a day that there’s absolutely nothing on for me to watch There’s even stuff on Christmas (NBA and NFL), although usually in the days leading up to it there’s less sporting events going on.

  7. Just finished watching the Gauff-Muchova final at the China Open, and I’ll be watching both the men’s and women’s finals at the GSOC HearingLife Tour Challenge, but here’s what else I’ll be watching (or at least trying to watch) the next two weeks. 9. Coco Gauff defeats Karolina Muchova 6-1, 6-3 for the China Open title, improving to 8-1 in WTA tour level finals while Muchova is now 1-5.
  10. I wish the ISU would make each of the sessions shorter… they all last between 3-5 hours (and sometimes 10 hours with the qualifying sessions) and me personally I find it highly annoying and unnecessary, because there’s so many breaks in between (for ice resurfacing it’s understandable, but it doesn’t take the 15-20 minutes long breaks to do it…)
  11. Finals are set An all-Canadian final on the women’s side, as Team Homan looks to win their third title of the season (and improve to 18-1) against a hungry Team Einarson who have had a less than ideal start to the season, they were also the last Canadian team to beat Homan over a year ago (same event coincidentally), while on the men’s side it’ll be a battle between Olympic medalists as Team Mouat goes against Team Gushue!
  12. GSOC HearingLife Tour Challenge Semifinals Women Team Fujisawa v. Team Einarson Team Lawes v. Team Homan Men Team Mouat v. Team McEwen Team Dunstone v. Team Gushue
  13. GSOC HearingLife Tour Challenge Men’s Quarterfinals Team Mouat v. Team Craik Team Schwaller v. Team McEwen Team Jacobs v. Team Dunstone Team Gushue v. Team Whyte
  14. GSOC HearingLife Tour Challenge Women’s Quarterfinals Team Gim v. Team Fujisawa Team Wranå v. Team Einarson Team Constantini v. Team Lawes Team Homan v. Team Kim
  15. Team Lawes defeats Team Tirinzoni 5-3 in the C-qualifier, for a second win against them at this event! With that, another shocker as Tirinzoni also misses out on the playoffs
  16. Nikolaj Soerensen banned for a minimum of 6 years for “sexual maltreatment.
  17. Second medal, wow! Bronze for Zach Gillis in men’s -42kg at the Junior World Championships!
  18. Kaylee McKeown withdraws from the SC World Championships. https://www.instagram.com/p/DApvQl7y3GN/?igsh=MXgxNGd3dng4YzBweg==
  19. First loss of the season for Team Homan as Team Constantini defeats them 6-2 at the GSOC HearingLife Challenge
  20. Bronze for Ella Brewster in women’s -59kg at the Junior World Championships!
  21. Our AHL team essentially took the Edmonton Oilers (with all of their stars) to a shootout, with the Oilers winning 3-2 (2) Pretty pleased with the outcome
  22. Phenomenal first set between (RUS) Medvedev and Alcaraz during the Beijing Open semifinals Unfortunately for me, he’s down a set… but hopefully he can come back from this
  23. Sorry but this is the stupidest idea I’ve ever heard… putting in 3x3 hockey (which doesn’t even have its own World Championships or anything like that) over telemark skiing, ice cross, and freeride skiing… This is coming from a big fan of hockey. Curious as to what @hckošice @phelps @Epic Failure @copravolley@Topicmaster1010 think though?
  24. Dawn McEwen will be unretiring temporarily (first time since Beijing 2022), as she’ll be stepping in for Shannon Birchard at the GSOC HearingLife Tour Challenge!
