  1. Anyone know who’s the male commentator?
  2. extends their lead to 5-3 over after a steal in end 5. High difficulty shot for the single for China, they were close but not close enough. China with hammer in the 6th end.
  3. Get Vicky Wright commentating at more curling events please, she really knows her stuff (I would hope so, she’s a former curler herself, not to mention a Beijing 2022 Olympic gold medalist)
  4. Pretty cool stat regarding one of the players, Chen Zaoxue has only been playing curling for two (!!) years
  5. score their 2 on a draw to the top 4 foot. Heading into the 4th end break, lead 4-3, China with hammer in 5.
  6. Facing two Danish stones, Li Zentai makes the draw to the tee for the single. lead 3-2 after 3 ends, Denmark with hammer in 4.
  7. lead 1-0 after 80 minutes, off a 53’ goal by Thiago Almada
  8. Jacob Schmidt with a tough tap for 2, and he delivers! and tied 2-2 after 2 ends, China with hammer in the 3rd.
  9. Dayana Yastremska beat teenager Linda Noskova 6-3, 6-2, while [12] Qinwen Zheng beat Anna Kalinskaya 6-7 (4), 6-3, 6-1 if anyone was wondering on the scores.
  10. After one end of play lead 2-0, Denmark with hammer in the 2nd.
  11. What a great shot by Chen Zaoxue on her first in end one, as she gets the double takeout to have China lying 3
  12. Full schedule today (like always) Today, I’ll be watching whichever mixed team curling semifinal is showing (starts in 5 minutes, so on from 4-6pm approximately for me), then the Canucks v. Blues game (7-10pm), and at the same time we have the YOG Final in men’s freestyle skiing slopestyle (7:30-8:45pm), also the YOG final in men’s snowboarding slopestyle (9:50-11:05pm), Coco Gauff v. Aryna Sabalenka in AO semifinals (12:00- 2:30am), and at the same time the YOG gold medal match in mixed curling (12:00-2:00am) I’ll also be watching Michelle Li v. Gao Fang Jie, and Brian Yang v. Priyanshu Rajawat at the BWF Indonesia Masters (if my schedule allows it), but the times for those matches are not very accurate so decided to not include it above. Rest of my schedule I’ll post tomorrow probably.
  13. and tied 21-21 after 36 minutes.
  14. leading 20-18 after halftime.
  15. Didn’t realize this was only an Olympic qualifier for Europeans, my fault.
  16. I believe the entry list has got updated since your reply @Jur Canada is now there, as well a few other nations.
  17. @JoshMartini007 if Hungary loses, does Iceland still have a chance to qualify for the OQT? What would need to happen if so?
  18. By the way as mentioned above defeated 4-3, and defeated 8-3 in the qualification games. Tomorrow, will play and will play for a spot in the gold medal match (losers will go for bronze)
  19. Brian Yang just beat World #3 Li Shifeng (21-18, 14-21, 23-21) at the BWF Super 500 Indonesia Masters!
  20. Brian Yang beat current World #3 Li Shifeng 2-1 (21-18, 14-21, 23-21) in the R32 at the BWF Super 500 Indonesia Masters! Probably one of the best ever wins for a Canadian men’s badminton player in recent years.
  21. Junior World Championships are on today. Should’ve started by now, but got delayed due to weather conditions.
  22. 88.00 for Hanna Karrer on her second run, and she is your Gangwon 2024 gold medalist in girl’s slopestyle (snowboarding) Silver for current Youth World Champion Lucia Georgalli (88.25), and bronze for Vanessa Volopichova (87.00)
  23. also progressed directly the semifinals, albeit before the final group B round robin session as at 5-1 (now 6-1, after defeating Brazil 9-4) they couldn’t fall behind either Italy or Denmark (the only two teams that were at 4-2) as Great Britain defeated both of them in previous games. and are through to the playoff qualification games, Denmark advancing with a 5-2 record after defeating Canada 4-2, Switzerland after defeating Italy 8-7 in an extra end (Switzerland, South Korea, and Italy were all at 4-3, but Switzerland advances by virtue of their 2-0 H2H) No playoffs for Canada, what a disaster. We were only down 2-3 heading into the final end (with hammer), and at the very least I thought we could’ve forced an extra end, but nope we give up a steal.
  24. Current Final Standings in Girl’s Slopestyle After Two Runs (Snowboarding) Hanna Karrer (89.00) Vanessa Volopichova (87.00) Rebecca Flynn (81.25) Katja Dutu (75.25) Sam Van Lieshout (71.25) Amalia Pelchat (53.50) Ally Hickman (50.75) Ava Beer (25.75) Yura Murase (24.00) Lucia Georgalli (22.00)
