  1. In terms of business he's doing it right, China and EU are the two biggest rivals, he openly declared war on China and lets EU crumble under it's own weight as Europe deals with the illegal immigration, lack of cheap labour and rise of political anti-establishment forces.
  2. In 50 years time half of the California land will be covered by solar farms or whatever that's called. The price of land will rocket sky high and actually a land sold for wind farms will most likely be higher than for housing. Because you will be dependent on the solar energy alone. It only takes something to gain a total monopoly. Once renenwable energy gains monopoly, the prices will go go sky high, ecology is pretty expensive already and that's when there is coal & nuclear plants competition. Imagine what happens when every single coal mine & nuclear plant gets closed like it's happening in Germany right now. You get the renewable energy but Germany is straight up to become tied to Russian gas for decades to come. They tried to do the same with auto industry and energetic cars but OPEC ain't gonna lay down for ecology and they won't let electricity to replace crude oil. All these energetic car rentals are going out of business faster than an internet bubble years ago because you can't sustain a cheap market anymore. Btw, California's wind market has been called 'moribund'. And all the talk here is about the money, what else. It's not about the ecology, it's always about the money. Wind is the new coal. https://www.greentechmedia.com/articles/read/justin-california Texas has overrun California in this department and if things looks bleak now, then it can only get worse from here on unless you're cool with covering half the state with windmills.
  3. Trump is a member of the lucky sperm club. A guy who has never heard "no" as an answer. He acts exactly like someone from high-upper class. These people think they're entitled to own the world and they are correct. People like you still judge Trump as a politican, he is not. He's a businessman who always does things his own way. That's how business and successful business works. He runs USA like a major corporation he owns. It sure helps USA is a federation, most of the stuff Trump doesn't even care about is handled by state politics and he can focus on the "bigger" things. The US President office is set up ideally for someone with a huge ego like Trump and he takes full advantage of this setting alright.
  4. Monday Night Football just ended and Las Vegas Raiders beat New Orleans Saints 34-24!!! Brees can't throw beyond 20 yds anymore, Michael Thomas was out and his YAC were missing. Without them it was a dink & dunk show to RB Kamara. Thankfully we had this all covered and shut the Saints down in the second half minus one up-tempo drive late in the 4th when Saints had to chase the scoreline. On Sunday several big name players got injured and are lost for the season: Saquon Barkley, Nick Bosa and Courtland Sutton tore their ACLs. Meanwhile the Jets look like the worst team in football now. 49ers lost Garoppolo, Bosa and Mostert and Nick Mullens still outplayed Sam Darnold and the pitiful Jets offense. At this rate Jets will be in line for Trevor Lawrence in the draft. HC Adam Gase is a dead man walking there.
  5. I suppose 95% of Americans don't know the difference between Attila & Genghis Khan either so this ad obviously fits the demand In a two-party system like US the only thing that matters is "we are good, them are bad", period
  6. Bryson DeChambeau holds on to win at -6 with Wolff fading to even par but still in second place.
  7. Vinales wins in Misano after Bagnaia falls from the lead with 8 laps remaining. You can't throw away opportunities like that, Marquez won't be missing forever!
  8. R3 is over. Wolff -5, DeChambeau -3 and Oosthuizen -1 are the only ones below par. Winner at -2 is my guess unless USO plays hardball with the hole locations tomorrow and we see some epic shitshow. My pick for the win: Schauffele (currently Par).
  9. Matthew Wolff shoots a 65 in R3 and should keep the lead with DeChambeau still on course. I suspect Wolff will still collapse tomorrow
  10. That's why I was against allowing any kind of edits. This just causes all the confusion. Before it was one deadline and everything was simple. You don't fix something that's not broken and the Prediction Contests were NOT broken by any means
  11. Ostapenko's all-out attack style can work for a short while against anyone. Similar to how Ivanovic's FH was unstoppable for like two seasons before it tailed off and so did Ivanovic's career.
  12. 11 years ago? No wonder I didn't remember that That's an impressive run of futility considering how relaibility has improved in XXI century
  13. @heywoodu@Olympian1010 ByKolles is the laughing stock of LMP1 hands down. They never finished LeMans IIRC including some epic fumbles like the opening lap clusterfuck in 2017. LMP1 is only marginally better than Colin Kolles' tenure at Hispania Racing Team He made Gunther Schmidt of ATS fame look like Enzo Ferrari!
  14. @Wumo So, everyone who picked Roglic before can "pick" Pogacar as the overall winner now? That kinda ruins all the prediction value?
  15. Raffin was struck down with fatigue earlier this season, this seems similar to what derailed Jonas Folger's career few years ago. Yeah, NTS is crap allthough they scored some points in the last couple of seasons. Bendsneyder was 11th in Qatar which showed promise but they are back to their worst ever since the season resumed. Obviously it's a high step for Piotr, it would be great if he could keep up with Kasma Daniel in the race ( I mean to be within like 5-10 seconds of him).
  16. Does anyone use the Dutch East Indies term anymore?
  17. Big news for Polish bike racing as Piotr Biesiekirski will fill in for Jesko Raffin at the NTS team in Misano this weekend. Poland hasn't had a racer this high in the FIM ladder since former Superbike/Supersport veteran Pawel Szkopek ca. 10 years ago. Lukasz Wargala had a two-weekend cameo back in 2011 Moto2 but that was right around when Moto2 saw Russian guys competing as well immediately after the 250cc/Moto2 transfer which enabled some third tier riders to get in the mix with fields ca. 40 riders total.
  18. Cleveland Browns beat Cincinnati Bengals 35-30 on Thursday night. Joe Burrow looks legit but they need some serious OL improvement or else he ends up on IR fast. Way too many hits. Browns can lean on Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt and win a lot of games with Baker Mayfield throwing ca. 25 passes a game. Bengals run defense is worst in the league but Browns RBs are Top 3 duo in the league if not the best overall.
  19. Justin Thomas leads after Round 1 of US Open with a highly positive -5 score at the supposedly Top 3 hardest courses in the world - Winged Foot. Phil Mickelson was +9 after R1 and dead last but one.
  20. The NL playoffs will be played in Arlington as well. There's already talk the NL team in the World Series will have a clear advantage over the AL team.
  21. Whoa, this Harris woman really takes one short cut after another Hilary Clinton is a fucking amateur if Biden quits for health reasons and Harris becomes President by default enforcing such a devilish plan that's been in place well beforehand
  22. Sam Horsfield and Scottie Scheffler are out of US Open after testing positive for COVID so @hckosice 's favorite Rory Sabbatini & Branden Grace come in as replacements.
  23. Maybe if tennis was played at Winter OG then Thiem wouldn't be so quick to ignore it

  25. Thiem wins US Open on one leg. Zverev choked a 2-0 set lead. Of course he did.
